i thought there was way too much smut in the novel. hugh and lucia were literally on sight. I think the comic does a great job working around all of the smut.

I hate her so much she is the worst. She makes my stomach twist. Everything she does is so annoying. To be honest wouldn't be a bit sad if she suddenly fell down a set of stairs and died.
But the survival rate of falling stairs is not nearly low enough.
