The only difference is codename Anastasia actually has a plot but this one is just an average trope with the same shitty story and plain character building.
I agree that codename shitastasia is just gross too but most people would read it cause the plot is actually really good rn
Apart from the art this manhwa has NOTHING going on for it.

There is foul play here and not showing true quality.

I won't defend codename anastasia but at least reading that you could think of it as action first then whatever the heck the subplot is because it's definitely not romance.

This one, the primary plot seems to be the romance with plot points trying to drive it forward but I cannot see it working in any way and if I cared more it'd make me irrationally mad. Like what's making the mc treat the ml so well and why would he fall in love? Why would the ml act like such an *sshole to everyone? Why is there so much coercion??

Coercion is gross in more gritty manhwa anyway but at least it's more believable for people who kill at the drop of a dime to act sh*tty than it is for a sports star to act like that in his private life.

Sorry to drop a whole short essay here haha I've been wrestling with this thought because I actually ended up reading the novel for codename anastasia and having a lot of fun if I skipped the SA portions and it made me realize genre of a story and plot does a lot of things. i will say though it's still not a romance in my book, best it can be is codependency

Did we read the same manhua? you're talking about plot, but for a BL manhua, Jinx is S tier sorry (I don't need to define what a manhua is and what we expect from it, but it's anything but of action). The story is so captivating to the point that personally, I can't read any more manhuas, i became so selective considering them BORING. I'm going to read codename anastasia and let you know what I think about it in terms of plot

It's too surreal, we have the impression that the author is doing too much. The end of each chapter makes no sense, it doesn't leave the suspense and the desire to continue the story at all costs. Also I realize that Mingwa is very generous in the length of the chapters compared to this one. Plot: So if there's no russia nor korea involved there's no plot ?? XD making plots of small little things is art. This simple physiotherapist and boxer are more interesting than your secret agent or whatever. Ig spy family is better :/ if u want action. Chapter 1 to 3 still no seme, so sad/boring?
Still reading tho (it's going to be hard for me).

I respect what you have to say about jinx but personally it's really not that good of a story... It's really just a copy and paste. The kind uke bring in debt but then the strong asshole semester comes and saves him and demands for exchange for his kindness and the uke is nave that he agrees cause he thinks he owes the semen his life
I don't know how many bl stories you've read but i've read many and most of these stories had the same exact plot
Not always the same execution but the same exact plot
I guess your reading list has got to be the lamest thing ever if you're telling me that JINX is the best thing you've ever read...and that you really couldn't read other stories I feel really bad if you think that cause jinx really isn't all that... And i'm pretty sure it's a manhwa not manhua.

If it ain't broke don't fix it... If the trope pleases why change it?
I've read enough BL/yaoi in more than 17y, those I like (rare) those I hate, I'm reading everything, so ik what I'm saying. The author is a genius coz I didn't get bored a second and it's continue to amaze me. Don't feel bad for me I'm the happiest person when I read Jinx and BJ Alex :))

As long as you're happy but it's better you respect others opinion when it comes to jinx it may be the best ever thing you've read but it's never going to be the case to other people.

I will agree the plot on code name is interesting but that still doesn’t excuse the fact it’s more graphic, jinx isn’t horribly written and definitely has some interesting parts but I get where your coming from… also I really just used code name as an example but there are many other manhwa that are worse with a higher rating I just think it’s weird that people hate on jinx for having SA but read and rate manhwa ten times worse higher and don’t talk ab them
