i never said he is 10yo, but it was pretty explicitly stated that his mentality is that of a 10yo. like word for word. i dont know how else am i supposed to interpret that except for exactly what it is. hes lived his whole life with his parents and when they died at the age of 10 he hasnt had the opportunity to live a life that would help him grow past that. in the last chapter he gets excited over a dinosaur toy and in one of the past chapters he dances to twinkle twinkle little star. Im not saying adults cant like those things, but its pretty clearly meant to show you what his overall thought process is like. in a bonus drawing gitae teaches him some form of fighting it literally says hes mentally 10. dont act like im making shit up when this is stuff that appears in the manhwa, and dont act like im the one being obtuse for being uncomfortable with dialogue about how childlike jihoon is and talk about how his parents stunted his mental growth followed by gitae basically inviting him to have sex with him. like fuck?

You are being obtuse now, though. Feeling uncomfortable bc of the way you are interpreting and processing the inexperienced part of of him is fine, but pushing it as some intentional grooming without considering the overall context and him literally showing us how he's handling and processing/learning/discussing everything that's happening (NOT as a 10yo would , which were just Gitae's words as a narrator btw, cause he's exaggerating how his interests and experiences have been so limited) and Gitae actually being patient and understanding with him, especially when he never forced him into anything (inviting someone to have sex, when the other person never showed any signs of not knowing what that is and then willingly explored it) is such a reach. This isn't an ideal, healthy depiction of a love story, but it's also not what you're making it out to be. Why do you think you have to justify feeling uncomfortable by needing your issue with it be some undeniable fact?

You cooked with this. Idk why OP isn't answering but them making it seem like it's deliberate grooming on gitae's part is just weird when that's not how it's portrayed at all.

I didnt say that their rs was a portrayal of grooming I said that the way this manhwa talks abt jihoon and his mental state is frankly fucking disturbing in some places and no its not "gitaes exaggerated portrayal" of him, and even if it were, I dont understand why jihoons own lover would exaggerate his portrayal by thinking of him as having the cognitive abilites of a ten year old child. Their relationship is showed in a manhwa thats frankly too short to properly expand on their dynamic as much as id like for it to, but its been stressed in the most literal possible sense that jihoon is in a lot of ways stuck at the mentality that he had when his parents died as a kid. if you find that there are zero uncomfortable implications thats ur own problem but Im free to feel uncomfortable by certain wording choices especially when it involves a romantic and sexual relationship where its stressed how childlike one of the participants is
