Fetishize is not the correct word. It's a common misconception among people that bl or fujoshis/fundashis "fetishize" gay men but it's not true.

Fetishisation means having a sexual fixation on a non-living object or a trait of a person(for ex, their race) that isn't in itself sexual. Sexual orientation is neither of these so it can't be fetishised. If you mean objectified, that's about real life being treated as objects. BL is not about real people. They're fictional characters and you can't objectify fictional characters because they're literally objects, just drawings on paper.

yeah not saying that its a common fujoshi trait but there is definitely a glaring amount of “fujoshis” who do this sort of thing. theyre more like the female version of straight dudes liking lesbians and bi women though than fujoshis.

You can't fetishize gay men anyway (see my comment above) the word you're looking for is objectifying. But if you kept your thoughts to yourself and didn't harrass them then it's pretty harmless. I mean don't we ship celebrities and think some people look hot together (whether it's a het couple or lesbian or gay couple). It's the same thing. Of course boundaries shouldn't be crossed. There's this movie couple that I love very much, they have starred in a no. of hit films and have great chemistry. When I was younger I thought they were married irl and when I found they weren't married to each other I was so disappointed. My little heart broke lol. And the funny thing is I'm not the only one, all fans of that couple have felt this way at some point. People still wish they were together even though it's been decades now. Our only consolation is that they're best friends even now lmao.
