I wish this was longer… it’s just tooo adorable. And the ending was happy but there was no solution to their main problem, her aging as a human
Well… now that she’s an adult they could use the ushimaru box or mermaid flesh. I think her main hesitation was that she wasn’t fully grown up, and she wanted to experience more adult things. My personal head canon is that they either waited until she was in her 30s and then used the box to stop her time, or when she passed Itou found a way to be with her soul (either by turning her soul into a yokai or via reincarnation or by entering a final death himself)
