Almost a hundred chapters showing an extremely toxic relationship and an ML who is consistently unstable and unpredictable. At this point we all know what kind of story this is. If you're still out here bitching and moaning about how much you hate abusive stories then wtf are you still doing here? I really don't get it. If I can't handle something I pretty much just drop it instead of diligently reading every single update and being morally superior in the comments
This is great if you're in the mood for a toxic ML but don't want something too heavy. The MC is also pretty formidable so that helps balance the dynamic a bit. The female side characters are kinda fun and none of them are made to be evil.
Prediction: their relationship is going to be exposed in the future and MC will back out of it bc he's scared of being betrayed again, but then Jaekyung will prove him wrong by putting the 'blame' on himself (eg. Declaring that he was the one who pursued Garam)
Spoilers for the impatient girlies out there lol

Hakyung finally finds out that Yoonsung always knew that 'Jiyoung' was a man, and that when he woke up after the accident he was told Hakyung/fake!Jiyoung died in the crash. When Yoonsung tries to do his own investigation his family sets up fake evidence to prove Hakyung's death. He was so devastated that while driving he zones out and his car veers off the road and falls into a lake. He would have died had people not witnessed his accident and immediately got him out. He lost his memory due to the accident and could not remember Hakyung/Jiyoung anymore. Even with the memory loss Yoonsung was still suffering a horrible emptiness and sense of loss that he couldn't explain, yet his family still kept him in the dark. (Fuckkk them seriously)
Edit: Hakyung discovered all this because Yoonsung's sister in law told him everything.
Hakyung is devastated as he realizes how much he'd hurt Yoonsung by refusing to help him find his memory. He goes back home and runs to their apartment bc he wanted to immediately tell Yoonsung everything. He arrives at the door and Yoonsung's brother is standing in front of it. He tries to drag Hakyung away and calls him shameless, blames Yoonsung's memory loss on him, etc. Hakyung tries to struggle free and says he just wants a quick moment to tell Yoonsung something first then he'll leave. Then Yoonsung appears and grabs his brother's arm to stop him.
Raws stop here! In the novel they have a confrontation and Yoonsung reveals that he already got his memory back and tells his brother to leave because he doesn't want to see his and the rest of the family's faces.
You're welcome!!!~
As for Hakyung bottling it all up:
1. He has always been under the impression that there is a possible threat to his brother's life (based on the novel it seems Yoonsung's brother never meant it. He just said it to warn Hakyung away but never had any intentions to hurt Hakyung's brother)
2. Even if Yoonsung's dad was really pissed with Hakyung bc his son basically almost threw his life away for him, he kept his end of the bargain. Plus when Hakyung mom's died he helped arrange the funeral (probably by paying for it) even if it wasn't part of the deal. So I think there's also a lot of guilt mixed into it. Hakyung doesn't want to be ungrateful to them.
3. Probably more guilt towards Yoonsung and his grandpa. And I think Hakyung just underestimated how much Yoonsung loved him/fake!Jiyoung. Now that he knows the truth he's gonna risk it all for him~
That you for this!!
Now I can continue reading at ease, knowing where Yoonsung's thoughts and feelings have been this entire time. My fear before knowing this has always been that there would be a big blowup between Yoonsung and Hakyung and that the former would blame the latter for things (i.e. the lies and deception), but if Yoonsung has known all along and his feelings for Hakyung never dimmed and only increased all this time, then my hope is that Hakyung will some day be able to find a way to forgive himself (for deceiving Yoonsung, a person whom he grew feelings for). As long as Hakyung has Yoonsung by his side, even when things come to a head and Hakyung has to face the family members again— especially Yoonsung’s dad— I don’t think things will get too excruciatingly bad for him (≧∀≦)
No problem! All I can say is Yoonsung is a lot smarter than you'd initially think. He has made up his mind about Hakyung loooong ago and has already taken certain measures to prepare for their future. He knew even back then that his family would be the biggest obstacle and has already prepared for that. No need to worry! Don't underestimate Yoonsung and Grandpa ;)
Usually you'd only see those types of dumbass comments on 'toxic' manhwa. I'm surprised that even for this manhwa where the mc's inner conflict and the reasons for it is expressed so clearly people still can't understand why he acts the way he does. You can't rush a dynamic like this.
Also laughing at the "I'm dropping this!!" comments. Girl you're reading this illegally. Who are you threatening
Been years since I read the novel but I don't remember the older brother being this bad. The manhwa really fucking goes all in with the pain
