Unpopular opinion: I really want it to follow the novel, if I read the spoilers right. The novel is realistic in its approach and this manga follows that. One of the biggest charms of this manga is the realistic portrayal and court politics. So far, neither has been compromised to ensure a HE for our characters and I want that to continue. I like the approach where despite the hardships a HE can occur. It'll be a rollercoaster ride, but I love a series where the ML is vulnerable to his country and court and Miss Paul will have to make a name for herself on her own terms.

I read up till Chapter 29 so far so I'm gonna give a half-assed summary from what I can remember lol

The karma that the uke is "suffering" in this timeline is from what the Past Emperor did in reaction to him

In the past, the uke would be openly defiant towards how psychotically possessive the Emperor is.
Eg. He cut his hair because the emperor mentioned how much he loves his hair and it belongs to him, which lead the Emperor killing all the maids who is supposed to take care of the uke

He starts shooting birds that they released, telling the uke that he can never fly away, wherever he runs off, he'll definitely capture him

When the uke tried to run away, the emperor broke his legs saying that it's his.

He kills off his consorts etcetc

Also there's this wine that the Emperor would give the uke, which causes him to "go into heat"(idk how to describe but you know lolol)
Although it is also like a poison, the emperor still forces the uke to drink it every night because that's the only time the uke would say that he loves the emperor

Eventually the uke gets addicted to it, and goes crazy trying to get everyone to have sex with him which causes the Emperor to go into another massacre

The Emperor realises how addicted the uke is to this "poison" and how insane he became and cried

Later on, the uke commits suicide, and the emperor says that line at the beginning where he will find him no matter what

The emperor also just kills anyone and everyone to gather up the bad karma points so that he'll be rebirthed to find the uke again

In the current timeline,

The Emperor ain't no saint either. He still has psychotic tendencies and won't hesitate to kill (duh) consciously but the uke will try and save them

The Green guy knows about the past because of records that he read before and he talks to the uke, to tell him to just go along with it, thinking that the seme would kill the uke the next day like he did the women

But the uke didn't want to have anything to do with the seme and just escapes but fails. The seme was surprised to know that the uke knows about using that path to escape.

Later on, someone that tries to assassinate the Uke by poisoning him which causes the seme to go insane and orders for the people responsible for taking care of the uke to be executed.

This is a repeat of what happened in the previous lifetime, when the uke cut his hair and his attendants got executed so he runs to the seme and offers up his hair. Saying that all of his hair, he'll give to the seme. It will belong to the seme

The seme thinks that it's funny that the uke thinks that his hair is special but he spares them

He dismisses that green guy knowing that he was the instigator.

Later on, the crown prince would be talked into pulling the uke's hair by a bitch(the consort) and the uke's attendant would try and stop the crown prince but the bitch is all like "how dare you touch the crown prince blahblah" and was going to punish him, but the uke protects her by saying that his hair belongs to the seme, he doesn't have long to live anyways, and is not trying to win the seme's affections. He just doesn't want to see anyone get hurt or die because of him. The bitch retreats and says that she'll verify it herself

The crown prince (he's 5) presents the hair he pulled off to the seme who chokes that kid and asked him who taught him to do that. He also guessed as much its that bitch cuz she tried to poison him previously. He asks his subordinates to find a big and fierce wild dog. The crown prince tells the seme that he just wanted to present him a gift cuz he heard that it's very precious to the seme and the seme asks him who told him that it's precious. The kid says that the uke told him
The seme affirms that answer saying that it is indeed very precious

The seme visits the uke, and when the seme mentions about his hair, the uke freaks out thinking he chopped off the kid's head. The seme said that when he let off the people previously because the uke begged him he was already seen as a joke

He tries to kiss the uke which the uke rejects. The seme tells the uke to protect his hair because it belongs to him

Then he tells the uke that he ordered for a wild dog to be released into the back Palace and see if the people there will turn into dog food the next day

The uke panics and tell him to not do it. The seme asks him, what he'll offer him in return this time. He asks for his legs, which the uke has a flashback when the seme breaks his leg because it's his. The uke panics, and the seme tells him to properly cherish them, because it belongs to him.
The uke refuses to believe that the seme knows what cherishing means and that this is all a front and its a lie.

The dogs gets along with the crown prince and the crown prince gives the uke sweets that promotes hair growth as thanks lol

That wine, he forces the uke to drink it saying that he will sleep with him tonight
The uke reacts adversely because he has some sort of trauma to that wine
After drinking it, the uke tries to fight off the seme and he says that he knows what that "wine" is. The uke takes the shard (from the shattered wine bottle) and cuts himself. The seme stops him and tells him if he really hates him, just use that shard and cut the seme instead.
The uke "goes into heat" and the seme starts having pieces of memory rush into his head. He doesn't know that it's his memories yet but he stops and covers up the uke and leaves.

The green guy then gives the seme the record book and tells him about it. The seme realises that it's his memories is devastated. Because all the atrocities that he had committed, he is repeating them now. (so the uke will hate him) But the green guy tell him that the situation is still salvageable because he's not exactly like the past king.

it goes into flashback while the uke is suffering miserably from that wine poison

Past timeline (when they first met)

Uke has an older brother that tries to rape him
Uke's older brother blames the uke

Uke meets the Seme and falls for him because the seme entertained his dreams and they work together towards it.

Uke's brother attempts to rape him but the uke runs away. He bumps into the seme who sees his disheveled appearance and wow he suddenly turn psycho

Before this the seme seemed pretty nice lol

The seme remembers everything and he decides to stop being such a tyrant and thus start his self redemption lol

The uke tries to provoke the seme openly now, to get him to kill him. But the seme allows him to just hit him.

Later on the seme tells him that whatever he does its ok but just don't leave him because it will repeat again. (uke will rebirth with all his memories and suffer again)

The uke realises that the seme remembers and thinks that he's making a fool out of him

also this whole time the uke has this misconception that the seme just wants to hurt and torture the uke for fun (i wonder why -___-)

That's all I read so far, sorry that the summary is messy I just spilled what I remember and its so late my brain isnt working :")

It seems that many could not see my previous comment from last month where I did resume and explained the situation in season 2 (starts on chapter 66). Aside from some spoilers that I might/will have written. So here it goes:


- WHO IS WHO?

A: Seolhyun IS THE FEMALE Lycan (female+ ?).
Lee Hwa is a hybrid (female Lycan + vampire).

Seolhyun's adopted brother is NOT a female Lycan rather a male one because if it was, the elders wouldn't have sent Ino (the white-haired Lycan) to get Hwa Gok to make a purebred Lycan baby back in season 1.



- WHEN DID THEY MEET?

A: When they were children, they bonded and marked each other. However, something happened and both got their memories erased. But Seolhyun got his memories partially erased because he could still remember Lee, but not the other way around. Not only that, but he also is not aware that he is a female Lycan, thus explaining his guilty feelings in thinking that he's leading Lee regarding his gender.



- WHY DID THEY GET THEIR MEMORIES ERASED?

A: Well, the Lycans elders are all about keeping the blood pure and making some purebred wolves. So Seolhyun and Lee getting together spoil their plans since they did lose HwaGok in season 1 (again). That's why they went into extreme methods to keep Seolhyun under their noses (they did something to Seolhyun's parents, so I rather not spoil), placed him into Ino's family, manipulated and lied to him about his gender.


- WHAT NOW?

A: At the moment, we just got to see how they stay together, despite all the drama coming, e.g.: hateful old lycan guy, babies coming, danger, split personality, death threats, memory loss, well...... the usual. It will be a fun ride.

I think there's some misunderstanding about what happened on chap 67, LIKE people do in every single chap. I have to applaud the energy.

We might not like the story, and how it unravels (understandable) but making wrong assumptions and trashing it from the raws without knowing what the context of their actions are is dishonest and stupid. Better wait for the official translations than makeup stuff (i see this a lot).




Now, moving on to what did happen in chap 67 (according to the Spanish transl I've seen). Some things mentioned in the comments below were almost accurate. So I've attempted to translate to English since I've learned Spanish.

PS: Please Don't judge me, cause my mother language is Portuguese, so for any error, I apologize in advance.



While taking Dg home by car....

Dg: "Thanks for bringing me home, get safely home"


Jiwon: Ok, you too

Nam Donggyun, wait.....
.
This at uni,.....

Do you know that it would be difficult if we openly say that we are dating?



Dg:" Ah....yes. I think so too."


Jiwon: "Then we will keep this as secret as possible. It would not be good if it were discovered.

Dg touches Jiwon's hand and approaches him and says smiling: "I like the idea!"


Jiwon: (thinks - great!) " w-well, then !!
From now on, I'll call you when you finish classes...!"


Dg thinks: "Even so....
Maybe someday the time will come where it'll be known .....
Especially the people close to me
They'll know ......
What would they do?."


Then Dg says: "Sunbae I'm leaving"
Jiwon: "Wait, I want a kiss"




Other day....

In Dg's workplace, his boss while blushing/shining/smiling says:

Boss: "Dong~Gyun~"
Dg: "Eh" (surprised)

And Chanwoo in the back with a WTF face

Boss: "Donggyun~ You~~
You have a partner/boyfriend~!!"

Dg: "oh, how did you know?"

Boss: "Chanwoo told me~
So everything that made you so sad was eventually resolved? Congratulations Donggyun!"

Dg: blushing " Thanks, Boss..."

Boss: " the next time you have lunch, come here and relax ...
 I will give you a dessert on the house!!

Dg: "Oh.... yeah"


Chanwoo sighs and Dg noticed. He turns around and looks at Dg.

Chanwoo: "Hmm..
I still don't like him"

Dg: "Huh?!"

While angry (furious), Chanwoo says: " Even if it's all tenderness, it's a fact that you suffered a lot and you got depressed because of it.

I feel so angry when I think about that time! Nam Donggyun think of me, please!
You really are not giving your best"

Dg: "it's okay. I already solved that whole thing."

Chanwoo: "Well, if that's the case, I'm happy for you" (while shaking his head)
" So I will not leave him alone.
I will be like a stubborn dog chewing his bone until satisfied"


Dg: "ah, haha...
Oh yes!
Do you know if Md found out about my relationship with Alex?

Chanwoo: "Oh, as soon as I told him, he got excited and contacted him."




Flashback of how Jiwon and Md's conversation went.

Md: " Woah!! Our Jiwon~

You're going out with Donggyun~?

How did it go? Tell me everything, awn so sweet, our cute Jiwon ~"



Hearing this Dg recalls that On Jiwon's side, he was just really angry....



Chanwoo continues: " Anyway, congratulations. If you're happy, everything's fine."

Dg: "thanks for everything..
.......
Chanwoo, you.....
You already said you were gay ... before?"


Chanwoo responds: "Me?
Of course, I've done it several times"


Dg: "a-and did you do well?"



Chanwoo: " It is different on each occasion ~

I started discovering my sexuality since I was a kid, so I talked a lot about it.

Dg: "So ... in a relationship, could it be that you spent moments where everything went wrong?"


Chanwoo: "certainly, many"

But it's better not to worry about that until everything is over"

Dg gets thoughtful after that.


Day/days later at university, Dg receives a phone message while in the lecture room. And its a message from Jiwon sunbae/bae (On Dg's phone, Jiwon's name has a heart emoji)

And it says: "your class ends at 12? I'll wait for you in front of your classroom."

After reading Dg blushes/smiles sweetly at the message. (he's cute guys)


The class's finished and Dg's leaving the room. While doing it, he notices Jiwon holding his phone waiting for him in the hall next to his class (Alex looking cute/hot/??? - don't know how to describe him anymore).

While smiling ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄ , Jiwon says: "Lets go"

And Dg showing a quite bright smile answers: "Yes..!"

Dg starts running towards Jiwon, and asks Jiwon if he waited for too long.
And then someone else runs behind Dg and catches/hug/hold him from behind.

Jaejin (It's the friend that took pictures) and says: "Nam Donggyun Hyung? Where are you going"


At this moment, there is some awkward silence and nobody's moving/ talking for a moment (hahahahahaha)

And Dg surprised turns his face back: "J-Jaejin....?"

In the following panel, Jiwon's staring at them with a blank expression, like hell turned cold or something

While angry, Jiwon thinks: "It is true....

This bastard......"





Well that's the end of chap 67


So we can say that there'll be drama. I don't know why but Jaejin kinda looked like he did that on purpose, like really, out of nowhere you decide to do that in front of Jiwon.

I am not, let me repeat, I am not justifying any future bad behaviour that Jiwon might show next week. But there's no way that Jaejin did that innocently, because I just wanted them to get to know each other better.


So yeah, whatever interpretation and assumptions we make, if you enjoy the story despite the highs & lows, I'll see you around next week ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ

For anyone thinking that this was dropped, please don't believe it.

The english version of Lezhin did not upload the last 3 chapters, the latest they posted was chapter 53.

I think that the english version of lezhin still taking some time translating the other chapters, because the korean version of lezhin is posting the chapters weekly without delay.

Reading the comments, obviously this manga brings out all these different kind of emotions from different people.. Love, hate, anger, anxiety, sadness, excitement and curiosity.. This brings different opinionated people together and whatever they say or feel they cant help but come back here and continue reading.. If you keep coming back and eading it, to me this means this is a good read.. I might be incorrect and i am not trying to offend anyone.. I respect all different kind of opinions.. I just like to know why is that the people who say they hate this manga keep coming and reading this? What brings you here? In my case I like plot. A lot. I don't have to agree to like somethings. if you be kind share your thought I'd appreciate it. Peace!
