It was a bit biased to say that a Ml could diminish a strong woman independence if they were in a relationship... if two strong characters stand on equal footing they don’t diminish each other. So your comment was potentially misogynistic J4mln4 .... A strong independent woman can also be strong and independent while in couple. Being independent should be a matter of mentally and not of just being alone without any emotional support from people around.

Based on korean novels that i read it usually goes this way. They introduce the female lead as strong, sure she squashes some side characters at first, but when the male lead appears everyone usually forgets that she was described as strong and she ends up being damsel in distress. The one i read recently she was described as being cold blooded female knight...yeah that didnt last for long...in the end when she got pregnant she wasnt aloud to write a letter because she was pregnant.

Meh I don’t know.
I’m probably not the best person to ask.
I’m personally not into this series. Contrarily to others romance isekai that i’ve enjoyed, In this one the heroine seem to have little presence. When she does seem strong it’s when she try to impersonate the original tyrannical Empress.
The author failed to give any sort of personal attachment between MC and the world she landed in. So so far MC is only driven by her survival instinct for her physical body. She seem to have no love or respect for the old Empress and they have nothing in common ether, it seem Mc was send to her body because: scenario. Lol.
The character o the Empress look more interesting to me but even then we know little of why she because a tyrant except that she became mad after the war. However madness is a lack of distraction between any kind of right or wrong. But the Empress did support one side of her court, the corrupted one yes but it seem she did trust them somehow. Doesn’t look like the acts of someone mad to me. There is just not enough psychological explanations to back up her character...
Plus i hate how the best was to portray that the Empress was evil was to make her sleep around? Like wtf, a girl can’t have more then one partner without being corrupted? How about polyamory or open relationship? I don’t like how the author portrayed that bit of sexuality as evil while MC appears blushing and acting like a virgin. Are we still stuck in the 50s? Why make all the other support characters super handsome too? They are literally introduced like arm candy for the heroine while we know she will probably end up exclusively with ML.
As of the Male lead i’m not a fan ether. I know he must hate the Empress because she was a tyran. But so far, all we know mostly is that she was conned by corrupted nobles and sleeps around.... so for now (the story only started so i’m giving it the benefit of the doubt) it only look like ML is mad jealous and that’s his main reason behind him killing her. Very petty.
I thought the story had potential but so far the way it has been delivered is lacking. I do love the art tho.
Lol sry for my rambling. Anyways maybe J4smln4 think MC would be overshadowed by the male lead charisma because MC herself is only shown as a strong woman when she act like the old Empress and has not shown any strong traits belonging to herself and herself only. Not because of a misplaced thought that when a female fall in love they become weak. But like I mentioned before most of this is my personal opinion.

I think your issue is more with the conservative interpretation some authors have of independent women. I’m not surprised you read novels about strong female characters becoming helpless females once settled down. After all the idea that women are supposed to stop working and take care of their husband / housework / kids isn’t still very present in Asian cultures. And even tho houses wives can be awesome (because the work can be endless) some also portray them as idle or helpless. I think authors who make strong females characters weaker after settling down have this biased view that a female should rely on a their husband and are then dependent of them. So if you see your favorite character loose all traits of independence it’s not because of a relationship itself but because the author’s interpretation. Hence saying that MC would be less independent once with ML is a very distorted view. A real strong female lead will stay strong independently of who she is with and her partner even if charismatic will only compliment her character and not overshadow it. If it’s done right. Lol

I feel as though you have taken the author’s intention the wrong way. I think that the author had portrayed her to sleep around not because she is a woman and sleeping around is bad, but because it shows that she is indulging in her pleasure instead of taking care of her people and letting the people close to her be executed, while trusting the duke who is kissing her ass.
I like Azar. Yes I said it. I LOVE AZAR! I hope he is the ML. There are characters whose actios i cant justify or even understand/forgive but as far as character go he isnt the worst. Sure he killed her parents but i didnt have any attachment to them hence thats why i can forgive him for that. Plus strictly speaking he aint a human and we shouldnt expect him to act like one or understand that his actions have consequences.
plus the first human he did trust turned out to be a scam artist that collected dragon parts from live dragons & potentially got some of them killed.
