I procrastinated for a long time after letting this marinate overtime. I binged read this & tbh I liked it. Sure, it was not as indepth as the novel but somehow i didn't hate it as much as I initially thought I would.

Our ML is a red flag thoroughly. But he plays it so well and he is very well aware of his actions. He's a villain that knows how to play his cards right, he isn't like the typical male lead. He manipulated everything around FL just so that she could love him & he even accepts that. While our FL is strong in her own way. There's a subtle feminine way about her characteristics that feels like she's being wrapped around Damien's fingers but it turns out the total opposite when you get to see Damien's POV of how much Chloe occupies his mind, body and soul.

Well, I like the groveling from the ML, all while him still not accepting his mistake is very Damien coded. Only when Chloe decides to accept her love for him & to return to him as his wife does he say he'd kneel for her a thousand times. In a way the ML is written well. I hated him but I also would have folded like how the FL did.

The blurry lines of dubcon is so strong in this story. Sometimes, I lowkey feel sorry for the uke even tho he was the one who chose to deal with them both. Like he was bullied (You can't convince me otherwise) and then had to carry unrequited feelings for 9 years, then the first relationship he get into is a polyamorous one where he's more like the buffer between the semes dealing with both their twisted way of thinking, feelings or emotions. Yeah sure he's imperfect too but he doesn't seem as selfish as the two seme, he's more like a pushover that everyone dumps on which just makes me feel sorry for him. (￣∇￣")
