Yes, because it's not for promotion but for allowing an additional element to telling a story. Drug addiction, murder, infidelity, child abuse, etc. - there are all these horrible things that make-up some good stories. I don't want to say I don't get the hype but I read Ten Count when it was still around 5-10 chapters and I can't bring myself to like it. I mean, there are mangas you can't really say you like much but there are times you just crave reading mangas along those types and after you read them there's some spark of satisfaction.
