I just got caught up and they're literally one of my favorite couples. They're just so endearing and loving. You can also tell they're adults and don't act like teenagers when even a bit of conflict comes up. I especially like sungho for how mature and kind he is.
Maybe it's because I'm older now, but these characters don't really annoy me anymore lol. Like yeah everyone can see she's projecting onto Haebom and SungHo and yeah it's not her business. It's obvious why she acts the way she does. It's misguided protection of someone she cares about in a conservative village. The truth is her worries make sense but Haebom and Sungho are also grown men. Her being hurt in that same way and her being young, it's childish and overbearing, but she's not a villain or anything.
Even though I just started reading, it's interesting! Will have to say though, the most unrealistic part is production not using the gray haired guy for views and evil edits. like even the most innocent comments get manipulated by them for entertainment. Considering theyre a big 3 company, they essentially get their pick of whoever they want, so they have strict standards for trainees ( includes personality ). It doesn't hold back the story, I just find it funny imagining him on a show like boys planet.
This chapter was so well done and a culmination of everything Taeman's ever wanted to say out loud. It's him giving his trust and Dahyeok's response was just perfect. Season 1 was Taeman stepping into Dahyeok's world and season 2 is Dahyeok stepping into Taeman's. They're both so willing to jump at a chance to see eachother and it's just so great to see both of them putting in this much effort. They're such an endearing couple and I really can't wait to see more of them.
Relieved his personality is still the same. I usually don't like the trope of the character transmigrating into a stereotypical bottom, but hes so unabashedly himself that I still very much like him. His past appearance fit him so well both in terms of character and also the story. He's just so endearing that it shines through regardless of appearance.
It's so funny that instead of thinking about the fact they're surrounded, they're thinking about the drama that just happened between them. Honestly, both of them were kind of making good points (refreshing to see). The story is so charming and funny even at its most serious moments. The chibi Taeman and Seolho are the cutest things too.
Bond licking Mr. Penguin's stitches and asking for forgiveness... so cute. I love that they chose to fully resolve that conflict (even if it's a stuffed toy), it adds something new to Bond's character.
Bond licking Mr. Penguin's stitches... so cute. I actually love that they continued that little plot thread.
To be honest, the name of the group could have been a lot worse. Like Testar isn't the best, but it's accurate in the sense that most fans tend to be disappointed with the group name selected in these shows. Actually makes me wonder if group names are actually being selected by fans. Either way, I can't wait for the group to interact with eachother more, especially when you have characters like Ryu chungwoo and Sejin A who haven't appeared as much.
It's been so long since I read this (I put it on hold so I could wait for new chapters), but reading the latest one gave me whiplash. Like, my god Skylar has grown sooo much. I couldn't imagine him doing anything close to this in the beginning. I remember he and cirrus had issues not just with eachother but within themselves that I thought it would take near the end of the manhwa for them to become close at all. But it's such an interesting dynamic and character progression the author presented, it's made me really look forward to more chapters and work from them.
So adorable! I love how both heart warming and funny all their interactions are. I know some people prefer the action but it's just so great when the characters do normal stuff (or attempt to) as friends or family. It's just so sweet.
More interactions with other characters, yayyy! Looking forward to seeing Nam Taemin in the next fight, especially since it's probably going to tie into something with frost. Also, the artist is going for some really cool designs, I like how the different groups have really distinguishable styles that are both unique and nice to look at.
If anyone wants to see clips or compilations of scenes (performances, competitions, etc) like this irl for reference, there's the produce series which has like four seasons for girls or boys. The artist seems to have pulled from it visually (it's not the only series obv but it was the most popular in Korea). They really do such a good job with being as accurate as possible both in terms of the humor and look of the shows, it's really impressive.
I actually like the long arcs because it means hoyeol interacts with more characters and also its getting me back into the mood for larger fantasy settings. This series is so fun lol
I really hope the amnesia trope only goes on for one or three chapters at most. Can't imagine another season of waiting, especially since the main lead already had amnesia in the first season... this is the second time.
The artist does such good job making the performances seem fun and exciting. Definitely pulls you in and theyre always accurate to what would be seen on these shows. They play around with the concepts/fashion which is so cool to see.
Minor detail but I love the fashion in this manga. They don't just denote to the same type of dresses, they go with different silhouettes and styles. It's just really refreshing to see the effort put in to making the outfits cohesive and fitting for the character.
The artist has done a really good job, especially for the comedic moments. I really love the contrast between Grandfell and hoyeol. It's so clear that they have different viewpoints on how to interact and what actions they take, but ultimately none of their decisions felt out of place. The kind of balancing act is the funniest part.
All the people in the group are likeable. It's really easy to see why people would be voting for them and why they would rank as high as they do. Some authors forget that it's not just about making the main character likeable and cool, but also the other members. They're not soloists, they're a group and a large draw of that is different personalities and looks. I like big sejin and Eugene the most (as well as Moondance ofc).
