When he says brother, he actually means hyung (usually used by males to address older males if they're close). Not sure why they would keep the word "brother" in when it's a different meaning. Now people are misunderstanding lol. Korean honorifics give insight into relationships so I like when they're kept instead of taken away when translated in english.
Lmaoooo not surprising, they knew everyone would be mad otherwise if they didnt get multiple endings. Like the way that spoiler tanked its ratings on this site before it was even confirmed (def believe the rating would be higher if it didnt). Anyways, this is definitely the easiest way to make everyone happier. If they wanted people to be satisfied with the initial ending with the female character then they shouldn't have made it the main appeal (should've tried something like My Next Life As a Villainess which had both male and female love interests).
Feel like the manhwa hit a huge standstill with the variety show arc and then didn't regain that momentum. Now, Daejuns arrived which is intriguing but it would've been nice to have clearer progression (even if in small increments). I have mixed feelings about this manhwa because I like the concept but the pacing is off for me personally (admittedly I'm also picky about idol depictions in manhwa tbh). Maybe rereading it will help? It's one of the few bl manhwas to care about the non romance plot which is a plus for me. I still love the art too! I've kept up with this manhwa since the first chapter came out (now its on 100 after a few years) so I'll still tune in.
Lmaoooo I can't lie, I was giggling throughout this entire chapter. Glad the author made the mc address how the ml has no trust in his feelings for him. The friend arriving there was the cherry on top for the upcoming mess. The fact that the mc didn't back down was chefs kiss. It's not the best manhwa but it provides the relative entertainment that a soap opera does which is good enough for me lol.
Everyone fighting in the comments I think the narrative was okay, I think the art carries it for me though (the artist utilizes expressions masterfully and knows how to show not tell). I think it's also interesting to have a character like ruby that has so much inner conflict but isn't able to express that outwardly. That's where most of the story went into so I see why some people think it's slow. I do find it funny some people criticizing this story also like other otome isekai that lowkey have the same problems (eg the trauma porn critique). I don't think this is the best manhwa, but it's emotional parts hit where it's supposed to. Of course, I agree with people critiquing the colorism as well.
The satisfaction I get seeing someone that has been unreasonably accommodating actually fight back about being the sole one to blame for the situation. I hope we get some sorely needed groveling if we're being real
Not surprised about ml being annoying again when their relationship literally started with ml trying to off himself if mc didn't get with him. On that note, giggled when mc said he started it first (the author has the chance to do the funniest thing and make the ml work his way back into good graces). As he should, fight back!
Stopped reading when the ml shot the mc in the legs three times (mostly bc I got bored) Tuned in to the recent side story thinking it would be fluff or comedy like other manhwas.... why did I get jumpscared by the ml slitting his own throat. The readers who are here for the toxic drama are eating good though ig. Probably not going to finish this (ml is attractive so I keep coming back lol)
Something I like about this manhwa is how Eui-Jae legit looks like the main character of some dungeon action manhwa lol. He would not look out of place in one. I'm already hearing such good things about about the novel and how it reminds people of orv (one of my favorite novels), so I'm so excited to read more. The art and character designs are so good. The plot is already building itself up and it has so much potential already.
lmaooo I appreciate the translations, but you know when you read something in a manhwa and you're like, "he didn't say that..." yeah thats what Iget when I see characters say stuff like "bombastic side eye" and "very demure very mindful." Whatever it was funny. I'll just assume it was around the same meaning even if not the actual wording.
Was going to read this but the comments are saying they're not together or on good terms after 50 chapters... and some of the other spoilers aren't exactly looking great.
I just got caught up and they're literally one of my favorite couples. They're just so endearing and loving. You can also tell they're adults and don't act like teenagers when even a bit of conflict comes up. I especially like sungho for how mature and kind he is.
Maybe it's because I'm older now, but these characters don't really annoy me anymore lol. Like yeah everyone can see she's projecting onto Haebom and SungHo and yeah it's not her business. It's obvious why she acts the way she does. It's misguided protection of someone she cares about in a conservative village. The truth is her worries make sense but Haebom and Sungho are also grown men. Her being hurt in that same way and her being young, it's childish and overbearing, but she's not a villain or anything.
Even though I just started reading, it's interesting! Will have to say though, the most unrealistic part is production not using the gray haired guy for views and evil edits. like even the most innocent comments get manipulated by them for entertainment. Considering theyre a big 3 company, they essentially get their pick of whoever they want, so they have strict standards for trainees ( includes personality ). It doesn't hold back the story, I just find it funny imagining him on a show like boys planet.
This chapter was so well done and a culmination of everything Taeman's ever wanted to say out loud. It's him giving his trust and Dahyeok's response was just perfect. Season 1 was Taeman stepping into Dahyeok's world and season 2 is Dahyeok stepping into Taeman's. They're both so willing to jump at a chance to see eachother and it's just so great to see both of them putting in this much effort. They're such an endearing couple and I really can't wait to see more of them.
Relieved his personality is still the same. I usually don't like the trope of the character transmigrating into a stereotypical bottom, but hes so unabashedly himself that I still very much like him. His past appearance fit him so well both in terms of character and also the story. He's just so endearing that it shines through regardless of appearance.
It's so funny that instead of thinking about the fact they're surrounded, they're thinking about the drama that just happened between them. Honestly, both of them were kind of making good points (refreshing to see). The story is so charming and funny even at its most serious moments. The chibi Taeman and Seolho are the cutest things too.
Bond licking Mr. Penguin's stitches and asking for forgiveness... so cute. I love that they chose to fully resolve that conflict (even if it's a stuffed toy), it adds something new to Bond's character.
Bond licking Mr. Penguin's stitches... so cute. I actually love that they continued that little plot thread.
