Lmaoooo not surprising, they knew everyone would be mad otherwise if they didnt get multiple endings. Like the way that spoiler tanked its ratings on this site before it was even confirmed (def believe the rating would be higher if it didnt). Anyways, this is definitely the easiest way to make everyone happier. If they wanted people to be satisfied with the initial ending with the female character then they shouldn't have made it the main appeal (should've tried something like My Next Life As a Villainess which had both male and female love interests).

Feel like the manhwa hit a huge standstill with the variety show arc and then didn't regain that momentum. Now, Daejuns arrived which is intriguing but it would've been nice to have clearer progression (even if in small increments). I have mixed feelings about this manhwa because I like the concept but the pacing is off for me personally (admittedly I'm also picky about idol depictions in manhwa tbh). Maybe rereading it will help? It's one of the few bl manhwas to care about the non romance plot which is a plus for me. I still love the art too! I've kept up with this manhwa since the first chapter came out (now its on 100 after a few years) so I'll still tune in.

Yeah I agree, I just dropped in to read some newer chapters after leaving it for a while.
I’ve seen korean readers say the same that it’s dragging far too much. Which is VERY unusual. Usually comments there will be complaining about manhwa adaptations missing out important things from the novel, but here I’ve seen the opposite: complaints that they should have adapted it better for manhwa format, sped things up, or changed situations.
And I LOVE slow burn romance, but tbh this feels less like that and more just odd pacing. I love the concept, generally enjoy the manhwa still, and I like the less intense romance focus and how it’s more just about being an idol, but tbh it’s getting a bit boring to follow for years when nothing is really happening.

Yes exactly!!! You worded it the way I was thinking! With a novel, they have internal dialogue that can be used to retain interest but if done in a manhwa format, it feels like not much is happening. I think one reason that the slow romance isn't working for me is how much less character development Daejun has gotten. We only see brief flashes of him, so now the romance runs the risk of being rushed now that he's suddenly here again.

Lmaoooo I can't lie, I was giggling throughout this entire chapter. Glad the author made the mc address how the ml has no trust in his feelings for him. The friend arriving there was the cherry on top for the upcoming mess. The fact that the mc didn't back down was chefs kiss. It's not the best manhwa but it provides the relative entertainment that a soap opera does which is good enough for me lol.

Everyone fighting in the comments I think the narrative was okay, I think the art carries it for me though (the artist utilizes expressions masterfully and knows how to show not tell). I think it's also interesting to have a character like ruby that has so much inner conflict but isn't able to express that outwardly. That's where most of the story went into so I see why some people think it's slow. I do find it funny some people criticizing this story also like other otome isekai that lowkey have the same problems (eg the trauma porn critique). I don't think this is the best manhwa, but it's emotional parts hit where it's supposed to. Of course, I agree with people critiquing the colorism as well.

Not surprised about ml being annoying again when their relationship literally started with ml trying to off himself if mc didn't get with him. On that note, giggled when mc said he started it first (the author has the chance to do the funniest thing and make the ml work his way back into good graces). As he should, fight back!

Stopped reading when the ml shot the mc in the legs three times (mostly bc I got bored) Tuned in to the recent side story thinking it would be fluff or comedy like other manhwas.... why did I get jumpscared by the ml slitting his own throat. The readers who are here for the toxic drama are eating good though ig. Probably not going to finish this (ml is attractive so I keep coming back lol)

Something I like about this manhwa is how Eui-Jae legit looks like the main character of some dungeon action manhwa lol. He would not look out of place in one. I'm already hearing such good things about about the novel and how it reminds people of orv (one of my favorite novels), so I'm so excited to read more. The art and character designs are so good. The plot is already building itself up and it has so much potential already.

lmaooo I appreciate the translations, but you know when you read something in a manhwa and you're like, "he didn't say that..." yeah thats what Iget when I see characters say stuff like "bombastic side eye" and "very demure very mindful." Whatever it was funny. I'll just assume it was around the same meaning even if not the actual wording.
When he says brother, he actually means hyung (usually used by males to address older males if they're close). Not sure why they would keep the word "brother" in when it's a different meaning. Now people are misunderstanding lol. Korean honorifics give insight into relationships so I like when they're kept instead of taken away when translated in english.
Oh thank God because I was beginning to believe it was too high budget to be gay HAHAHAHAA oh thank goodness I'm gonna keep your theory and pray it's true
I know! If someone is reading manhwa they know what 'hyung' means, don't write 'brother' and make the while thing weird
