It may be a generational thing. I feel as though the “living their firsts in their 20’s” is probably a largely millennial thing due to the difference in modern society over the last decade or two. Things have drastically changed for lgbt people in the last 5-10 years to the point where it might seem to be a lot easier for younger lgbt people ......
When I was 17 the only times I heard the words gay, lesbian, trans, etc they were used as insults. I think from one side it's generational, times change and even tho there are a lot of homophobic ppl and homophobic societies, lgbt+ community's fights are earning more and more results. On the other hand it depends on the environment you live in, so ......
