I genuinely don’t understand why she got upset, maybe I didn’t read properly (and no hate) but can someone tell me why she got upset about him having her favourite meal ready for her?
According to the novel, although he made her favourite dish, his expression was very rigid while eating it. In reality, it was because she loved it, and that's the only reason why he used to eat it in the past, but he hates the taste of that dish, so his expression becomes rigid every time he eats it. He used to think that even if I hated the taste, I should still eat it because she enjoyed it. But she didn't know that and always felt like he hated to eat with her. Even now, he made the same expression, which reminded her of the past, so the emotions she held bottled up emerged, and they had this argument

In the old days, in some cultures (most especially Europe where the church ruled everything) the displaying of the genitals was considered unsightly and inappropriate, even between married couples. So having your grotesquely swollen vagina exposed while birthing was something only the midwife, later doctor, should see.

Eleanor was born a commoner and married to a baron but he has passed away. There was a bit earlier in the series that I can't quite remeber where but her ex husbands fam basically revoked the title from her to aid the princess, making her a commoner again
