This manga is one of my favorites. Aoi didn't like to be touched by anyone which came from the fact he was getting molested at home. Shiina loved him anyway even though they couldn't be physical which lead to deal of you can have sex with me after I die.
To save himself from the ridicule and judgement of others for getting molested by and killing his stepfather Aoi killed himself which allowed Shiina do what he wanted before killing himself to avoid growing old and forgetting Aoi.


In my opinion there was no way to prevent Aoi from killing himself he wanted to die from the very beginning he was just bearing it because shiina was there for him..
