It's pretty long and I'm really tired today, so I didn't read it all. The only thing I can suggest is to not force the happy ending, I mean maybe even drop it. Instead, try to make things clear or open. Like maybe a time skip or something. My characters are always getting time to make their opinion and feelings clearer or more complicated, which later I use to change the situation in a particular direction. The complexity of personality could make things easier to push in some ways. I hope I said something applicable :) Good luck with further creation!
