yes they do. Idk how far you read to, but yea they finally get a chance to talk, riftan reveals his anxiety, maxi gains some confidence, they have a LOT of steamy time, and they have a genuine happy ending.
But I totally agree, they are a masterclass on how to never communicate properly. That's why it literally took 450+ chapters!!
