Also, there is hate between Japaneses and Koreans, and as far as I remember, japaneses had a war where they did quite the crimes against Chinese's and Koreans.

He was behind the car accident which resulted in the male lead's mother, father and his unborn sister dying as he drugged or put sleeping pills in the coffee or some beverage of their personal driver which was (female lead's father) causing the accident and he straight up framed the diver (female lead's father) instead as he with the help of a local cop who was female lead's father's friend made sure that the driver remained stuck in another country (philiphines) until the day the he passed away so the truth won't come out about his involvement in his brother's family's murder also he tried to kill the male lead later on by hiring some shooters or thugs along with female lead's ex boyfriend in philiphines to kill him but during the chaos to kill him the ex boyfriend ended up dying instead since one of the shooters accidently shot him and the male lead was injured as well and got taken to the hospital by the female lead who was by his side during this entire ordeal
