warning: bit of a long rant, but i don't get the hate
i think her reactions are lw realistic, literally any normal person would go crazy in these scenarios and aren't expected to make the sanest decisions
this definitely isn't just a straight romance novel
the FL literally does not know how to do any of the routes, she's bad with people interactions, has no romantic experience, only has one maid on her side, and is literally going through a shit show so i have no idea wht yall are critiquing about her reactions and decisions
tbh her thought processes seem pretty logical esp since the crown prince legit seems like the only option
roger will get killed by the crown prince, the duke literally told her to never appear in front of him again, and the prince is the only one who is even opening a viable route for her
her reactions and actions seem completely human esp taking into accnt her back story
and if we remember she believes making one of the male leads fall for her is the only way out of this horrifying scenario so it would make sense that she can't just deny the crown prince
also considering that if she does go Roger's route, Roger will literally be killed so even from the perspective that she needs the male leads' interest, how will she do that if he's dead ?
do yall j want to see a ridiculously smart female lead that makes the best decisions like some strategic warlord
like usually they're only able to do that bc they've alrdy read the novel, played the game, or just reincarneted into the world they spawn into bc thts wht yall are used to
rant over lol, but genuinely would like to see why you guys are frustrated with any part of the story
maybe it's just not what you guys were trying to read in which case there's plenty of over powered FL historical romances w a decent amount of conflict nd obstacles for them to navigate but always triumph over bc they're given hella allies nd random knowledge
i think this is just a unique take on the genre and maybe the only flaw is that it doesn't have "thriller" listed in the genres
maybe then ppl will give it a more honest chance rather than imprinting what they wanted or expected onto the manwha
im not saying the plot can't make a turn for the worst since i don't know the story's direction but so far it's pretty good
i think we're supposed to feel these emotions of frustrations with the FL's story, but her predicament is the result of her being a human and the crown prince manipulating her into his hands- not bc the FL is completely incompetent
imo she's pretty brave for even getting this far, in her scenario i wouldve folded at like everyone mobbing me nevermind actually having to deal w the MLs
this is definitely one of my top reads
the plot is amazing, there are such beautiful and graceful moments, and it truly captures the intimate dynamics of the ups and downs of a family
it executes sensitive ideas very well- and not to mention the art is so downright gorgeous, i can't help but be in awe as an artist
there's never a face that similar without a purpose, the uniqueness and mix of realism and style is professionally done
