Another thing about the media like set up is that people tend to be blindsided. Like you only saw one side of the story. Like, yes, I understand rape is bad. But this is fiction and the omegaverse. I feel like some of the people who comment that he’s should go to hell or die without seeing his side of the story, are people who would blindly believe the story of a stranger, a woman, who lies about getting raped and getting an innocent man in prison without listening to him.

I loved your reply so much. Don't know much of omegaverse so was not able to get more details. I had just touched on fucked up scenario in my reply to some comment.
Each time he denies rape we hate him more because we as reader have seen it happen but does he remember it. From ch 2, it looks like he has blacked out the process. He barely recollects the event and could recognize the child by smell. If he had seen her pained self immediately after event, he might have got powerful jolt of guilt. If he had injured himself, there would be pain. There was nothing to remind him of event till he saw the child again.
The whole incident on how he met her and child are culprit. May be if he had got some grace period with doctor in charge to get advice he might have handled it better. All he thought of was ill child who walked half naked in cold, mom who was overworked and ill. Help the child and mother. When she answered to his apology he seemed half convinced that he was not to be blamed for being high handed.
We don't know what is going through in his life or how 6 years has been. He is actually pretty lifeless. What happened to his career? What did he lose from the event. It might not be painful like it was for her but did he get out of it unscathed.
They will both start learning things about each other if they stay longer. She is too scared and angry to understand on how they both want same thing. They don't want the incident to rehappen. They are not attracted to each other. They want what is best for child. They don't trust each other. They blame each other for the incident. Hers are more vocal, his are more passive. I am hoping for impasse to be lifted and communication to happen so she gets what she wants.
One thing I did notice- illustrator is doing great job at delineating him. When seen from her eye he is monster with all the power. On his own he is young, confused person who is way over his head and doesn't know how to deal with her or the situation he is in. I hope ppl realize there are two victims in this manga. He is one of them.
You can use the omega verse trope all you want to defend him, sure, whatever, it's a story and he gets to have that justification so the author can justify them getting together at the end. But saying people need a reality check for rightfully being repulsed by a rapist, regardless of his 'reasons' for the rape...girl, I think you need the reality check lmao.
