I read this on and off, maybe a I re read it all in one setting to see how the pacing really goes?
Maybe I wanted a more descriptive ending to the blond jerk, not just "this bad thing happened to him due to his choices", maybe a kind of reflection on his suffering, whether he laments it or not.
I did like the reveal of the ML's identity, not too rushed nor slow.
As for how they dealer with the chairman, I remember it going on for like 3 chapters? I would have cut it down to 2 if they insisted on a cliffhanger. But that old man shouldn't have gotten away with just dead after all that disgusting shit they pulled off.
Maybe the spin off will cover more about the MC's new desire to live, because if you are gonna end it in some inspirational line, you have to back it up ah. The story has been stress inducing over all the happenings, it would be nice to see where that reason to live lies, whether his new friends and colleagues, the fall of the past and present evil, and not just a lover who was pushing your buttons like a perv lol.
The friend falls in and out of love so easily, I could relate cuz I'm a face con (tho not romantically interested in anyone)
I can accept not caring of his first crush who he kissed but got a "girlfriend" after, like, let's be strangers. But I wouldn't brush it out if I cried and my bestie did his best to make me feel better. Wdym "get it yourself", what's the purpose of making them interact when besides being strangers, bestie dislikes him because of me
If I crush on every handsome boy I see, it's a me issue, why would I ask my bestie to intervene for
Hm, I don't believe in a better match unless there's an actual second lead that's better of has demonstrated to have had a better relationship progress with either MC or ML.
Ipsae is the MC while Haneum is the ML, both are actually mutually like each other in a way. Saying Ipsae is unsuited because of his previous behavior WHILE SINGLE is wild, just because he had many partners he REITERATED never accepted as lovers doesn't make him an asshole or any less than a pure MC or a celibate MC, it's just his rich boy arrogance but we work on that. Haneum is a stone into a still lake, what he never considered before in a relationship starts to surface in Ipsae's perception. It's messy, it's not in sync with what people want, but there's change.
Why would Haneum like Ipsae? As he said, he saw sides of him no one else bothered to think about, Ipsae did care for him in his own weird way and Haneum actually caught the hints and interpreted them for himself. Because your first impression of someone is bad, it shouldn't stop you from getting to know them and maybe liking (tolerate) them a bit more.
There was this girl I thought Hella stupid, later I saw she was kinda lonely and tried to fit the popular girl group and was actually kinda smart. Still hate her tho (she did some REAL morally questionable things), but at least I know I dislike her for conforming to such rules and making it seem to the world she is a dumb quirky girl, while I appreciate her brains (for actually thinking the most efficient way to look stupid in class).
Knowing his son was a useless bum yet still blaming others on him looking for death?
Yeah, sure, one is a psycho but who gives him the right to call MC a slut when he was a victim to the village's abuse? Did he expect to lie down and get the weapon for revenge so easily? Might as well see what the psycho does to them now, hm?
It's really important to show how the MC ought to feel liberated from his ties to the tribe, after how awfully he and his mother were treated, even if he now feels lonely in enemy territory.
Like, fr, cuz ash getting all scary over sex at the end needed to be discussed before agreeing to be together , as well as how Lyle feels himself getting a more omega kind of impression, nothing bad tbh but it would be nice to see how he navigates the idea
That's why I usually don't comment when both parties know how freaky the other is and still end up together
Or whatever the lines, GIRL THE MOTHER WAS HOSTAGE.
How tf do you make someone choose before their gravely ill mother, the one who broke her back for you, and your love? And changing the contract with whatever whim since he has the money? What kind of son DECEIVES his own dying father 5 times???? Bunch of jerks
The MC was already down from his mother's illness, though disguised as an opportunity, working with this rich people brought down his mentality even more
ISTG Y'ALL WHO ROOT FOR THE ML WITH THIS FINE 2ND LEAD IN FRONT ARE INSAAAANEEEE
Like, for those times and this genre standards, he is such a good ML I cannot bring myself to like the ML over the 2nd
Suspicious? Ofc, all men do is lie, ML did a whole plot to unearth the tribes looking for the gun's design. But at least 2nd stopped himself from doing things the MC dislikes and actually tried courting him.
He can't solve the MC's troubles nor take revenge for him? With which opportunity? He was busy looking for a corpse ah. Not like MC wouldn't have taken revenge himself if he wasn't busy surviving or that ML made his life any easier.
MC suffered enough, why would I wish further peril on him?
