the main character died of cancer, the cheating partner of his was in denial and eventually became ill, the doctor went overseas to heal his broken heart. the doctor actually prevent the cheating partner from seeing the main character so he didn't get to see him for the last time eventhough the main character actually wanted to see him (though he didn't say it out but he still loved him and all). it was a dick move but i can understand why the doctor did it. IT'S JUST HEARTBREAKS EVERYWHERE.

I think wenxu totally would have changed, the man fking killed himself after repenting for his sins by waiting for four years for zhishu, just like how zhishu was waiting for him to return for the four years that wenxu had been cheating. While reading the novel, I was truly hoping for them to reconcile and be happy again because they both loved each other but because of wenxu's actions their relationship took a really bad turn. Zhishu never loved the doctor romantically and was in fact still in love with wenxu. I think he'd have been happier if he died with wenxu being alongside him until his last moments and then wenxu would have repented for his sins
maybe but from personal experience (not mine ) but my relative /// her husband cheated again after she forgive him..she was already in a toxic relationship but still she claimed about being in love & it didn't end well for her ... people say we shouldn't say bad things about dead ones .. but i feel she was disillusioned some people never changed ...
Here too for wenxu's case when his affair told that he really loves him then he hesitated & then said he will talk later since uke is not well ... but the affair died in an accident ... so you get what that's implied...
