When i read smut after reading this series I cant help but think if the author is same as McQueen. I thought that series it's just okey but I cant forget this two. I love this author, his characters are unforgettable
I feel like TJ and Ian will end together anyways. Jo is the second plan's character so much that I cant like him more than Tj. The story is making circles around Ian and his heart but I feel like it was decided a long time ago which couple will be together. Jo is some plain character comparing him with TJ and I am quite dissapointed that I dont feel anything about results with Ian and Jo. I want to feel it, that Ian wants to be peacefull and be happy. But the plot is showing that everytime Ian chooses TJ over Jo.

I mean it’s only the first part of the story, and TJ and Ian have a codependency relationship so of course Ian will feel more towards his friend with longer history together and some lingering feelings as well as guilt.
We get 4 seasons in total so let’s judge in the middle of the story instead of the first season haha
Jo is the plot development. Without him the plot would've stayed the same. It's very telling when Jamie (the villain of the story) had to wait for years to finally make a move against Ian, TJ and the gang. He also knows that Ian isn't someone that will get close to anyone other than TJ. Now since he knows Jo exist, he will use Jo and Chris as a bait to go against them. I think his grand plan will has to do something with Jo. I think most of you guys and Jo himself have presumed that there's nothing more to himself than what he is known for which is not true. There's more to him than meets the eye. His character development will finally start when his darkness will consume him. In simple when he actually meet Jamie. Meeting Ian and falling in love with him is the biggest turning point in his life because he will get to know his real self. Each character will have a highlight in the story, for Jo when he meets Jamie and get consumed by his darkness. Everyone in the fandom right now eagerly waiting for Jo to get dark.

I have read all love triangle and been reading BL since 17 years and there's no similarities between that story and this story except for the fact that both has a og couple and an introduction of a new love interest. The story, characters and the genre are very different. You can just compare another story to this and expect it to be to be same.

It's fine to express your thoughts but the comparison doesn't make sense when this a different genre all together. This is a solid love triangle.
