if manhua- go for it no doubt but if it's your first time reading any novel, it might not be better to start from tcgf- it can get confusing.

start the novel because obv it's more detailed and well written (mxtx's novels are gems- mxtx is the author's pen name).
if u are sure you won't get confused in names and plot then go ahead and have patience since the buildup is good and the story is amazing.
also the manhua is most probably dropped/discontinued because the artist got backlash for their art. tbh the art is gorgeous, heavenly, top toer, eye candy agh and other synonyms. they said the characters looks the same but wdym it's such a gorgeous art literally to die for. ahem anyways please read novel, it's such a ride. (ꈍᴗꈍ)
