Zhan’s hairstyle looks great in ch 457. The length and just the overall style. And although he isn’t much of a flirt he still makes it very clear he’s in it for the long haul with Jian Yi.

I hope her father does not get a redemption arc. I would find it refreshing to have him just stay an asshole and she leaves with her man and gives her dad the middle finger. It’s too common an arc in anime and manga and he does not deserve to have them groveling to him and trying to prove anything. Not when he’s treating her like a commodity.

They both changed a lot. Here Mo is complimenting He Tian and showing concern over being late not because he’s scared of him but because he’s genuinely concerned for leaving He Tian waiting. He even checks to see if he ate anything. Then on He Tian’s side he’s sulky and upset but he’s not being scary and forceful. He’s just pouting. What started out badly became much better. This feels like a solid enemies to lovers story.

I’m just wondering what the author is aiming for with this. When Kaya does these things to her she doesn’t look angry, scared, or horrified. She just passively says stop while blushing. Her reactions are weird. I can’t tell if it’s intentional and the author is planning something or if it’s bad writing.

Sushicat created a topic of Hana Yori Dango

I felt sorry for Makino’s friend Yuki. I kind of wish she could have properly moved on from Sojiro and ended up with someone. I’m at that chapter 230 where she says she’ll warm him up and they sleep together. This is right after saying he doesn’t think he could love her that. She helped him with his childhood friend situation and is going all out for him and that’s admirable. But her still loving him while it’s impossible for her just feels so sad.

I think one of the biggest problems people have is that the author will try to pair up the victim with the abuser. I see too many authors that tell these redemption stories thinking they need the character who is seeking forgiveness to end up with the one they hurt. They can tell a story about a scumbag who changes for the better without romantical......

I’m looking for recs for a healthy romance story that has minimal drama and adult main characters. Nothing with crazy over the top jealous characters. I want them to be reasonable, mellow, and down to earth. Something like the shoujo manga A Sign Of Affection.

I want something where the main couple is obvious and I can just sit back and enjoy the story without wondering who ends up with who.

Shoujo, josei, seinen, BL, and Yuri are alright with me. (●'◡'●)ノ

I’m fine with this not ending anytime soon because there isn’t much BL like this. This sort of long lasting slice of life where you just enjoy their shenanigans along with the bits of romance and friendship. Most of the time it’s a drama with a clear plot but I like how this is more of a slice of life. I’ve been reading this for many years. Since the beginning when Mo at first didn't have a name.

I’m just glad the Oushi arc is coming to a close so we can get back to our main characters. I want to see more of Itsuomi’s past and family life. I want to see how they’ll carve a future together. Perhaps Yuki will travel alongside him. Will they have children? Etc.

Anyone feeling frustrated with Oushi will feel relieved after chapter 41. I couldn’t wait and I bought it.

He’s acknowledged that he’s been mean to Yuki. So it wasn’t people being haters. The author intended for his behavior to be seen as wrong.

He talks to his friends and basically tells them he’s going to give up but before that he must do something (probably confess). (●'◡'●)ノ I’m satisfied with the chapter and hopefully we can now move on from Oushi.

Kouta was did so dirty. But at least he gets a better girl in the end.

Sushicat created a topic of Living no Matsunaga-san

I actually prefer Matsunaga. I love his design a lot and he’s a funny guy. Overall I have no complaints with him.

Ryo is so unappealing to me because of how he cried and begged after being told no multiple times. I really don’t like when anyone does that. Have some self respect.

Sushicat answered question about question
I find this take interesting because when female creators choose to only create hetero stories they get begged to create or include BL. Sometimes the same happens with straight men. Mystic Messenger was a big example of that. It’s an Otome game (meaning it will have a female protagonist and it’s for a female audience) by a mostly female comp......

I just started reading this and I’m hooked. Both the main characters are likable and they have me smiling and laughing at times. I’m still early in.

Also it’s minor but it’s almost healing the bad feeling that manga/anime Nana left behind. I know it’s small but alternative rock girl x girly girl..it made me think of Nana/Hachi but a younger happier version.

Sushicat created a topic of Raveled Tightrope Knot

A lot of the characters here were messed up and gross. But in defense of the uke: he was not dating the old guy or anyone else for that matter. They were sex friends. That’s it. He never loved him. He had his heart set on his childhood friend and he never once had his feelings waver from that even if he slept around. He owes that old guy nothing and it’s his own fault for letting himself be a 6 year booty call.

Sushicat created a topic of 19 Days

Rereading this reminds me of how much I love it. The characters, comedy, and developments are great. The characters are a nice balance. They’re not too pure and goody goody or too twisted.

I’m also glad the toxic part of the fanbase has seemingly quieted down. I don’t miss the arguments and ship wars. It’s still there but not as bad.

Sushicat asked a question

I know it sounds weird but does anyone know of any shoujo with annoying rage inducing wishy washy or asshole male leads?

Ideally ones who ditch the female mc so they can go comfort another girl or cheat on her? But straight up asshole male leads who cheat will do too. Here are some I have read.

Crazy For You
Moe Kare
Ao Haru Ride
Bokura Ga Ita
Nana

I want something that will make me angry and give me anxiety. Thank you in advance.
