I'm not too sure on that one I don't know much other than MC and ML don't die and there are side stories. It's just that MCs entire backstory is just SO HEARTBREAKING and since it plays such a big part in the story it's not something you can overlook to make it an easier read. I still highly recommend it regardless of the path we take to get to the end because it is a great read. Easily top 10 for me in terms of character and story

Art style kinda looks like Hirano to Kagiura and Sasaki to Miyano (both by same author)
