For the daddy issues I can see how girls who had an absent father might enjoy the story but on another note I'd also imagine them relating more to the other daughters who are neglected rather than the mc. Most prominent reason why I absolutely loathe those sorts of stories. On another note...,it could be that the people who enjoy it are those without any daddy issues too since they don't have any. But still isk how anyone could enjoy such things. And strangely enough they're so damn popular its jarring.

You know what I find the most annoying? All he had to hear was that her name was Jaina, and that was fucking enough for him to accept that she is his daughter +her inherited allergy, but that was just the last string... And it took him years and her almost dying

It would be nice to have a little more common sense but I wouldn't outrightly call her not very smart.
