< spoilers ! > As a bi woman, I didn't expect to connect to this as much as I did. I love all the serious issues that were talked about (sexism, misogyny, toxic masculinity, and, of course, being queer and the complexity of queerness, hard life decisions, et cetera). I loved how you got to really know and understand each character and see them as they go through their own journeys of self-reflection and building confidence to becoming themselves. This was so beautifully written in that way.

However, I don't really view this as a romance. Yes, there were many cute parts, but I can't help but be a little disappointed. I was so excited to read a story about a love triangle with queer people but the ending was kind of lackluster for a romance, imo. I wish the author had either ended the story at the beach or dived a little more into how Touma and Tia got to be. Maybe I'm misinterpreting what the author meant for this story.

Despite that, I do really think this is a wonderful story and a great read, and I really like how it brings awareness to some things that should really be brought up more often. Highly recommend, just don't start reading it if you expect it to be your typical love triangle romance.
