70 chapters of the alpha being an asshole (it could have been redeemable til about ch50), i finally lost it and got pissed at ch 84 and stopped reading to let it marinate and i come back today to finally get to.........that
and as i'm reading i'm like wow everything's just getting worse and of course he's pregnant and i'm looking at the chapters ticking down like ??? they really gonna solve this in 5 chapters? 2? 1??????
I was actually hoping they'd just separate and the alpha would go to europe and the omega would get an abortion and become a successful opera singer. that would have pissed some people off sure but it would have been refreshing compared to

ehhhh. mid. I don't mean this in a negative way, it was fine, but it was just fine. not good enough for a second read but i don't feel like i totally wasted my time with it.
it was horrifying in places ofc and yes creator i did find that ending to be womp womp lackluster tho it was probably more realistic than you'd expect. there's a reason more people don't kill their abusers.
but i do think that's why it failed. bitter realism is less impactful in this kind of story than cathartic fantasy. (esp since damn near no writers are actually willing to write cathartic fantasy, everyone turns it into some kind of revenge is bad moralistic bullshit. what so rape to love is fine but killing your abuser is somehow crossing a line? damn okay i see the conditioning loud and clear) it's frustrating and frankly annoying that redhead was so violent to literally everyone else (and remains violent even a year later with puppy top) but couldn't finish the job. it almost seems out of character at that point.
i mean i guess it's fine that it has a bitter ending. not like the story was full of rainbows and sunshine, so at least it was consistent in that way.

this was hella weird well before the whole pseudo-threesome thing. it was like it couldn't decide if it wanted to be completely ridiculous camp or serious but it didn't do it in a very coherent way so it felt disconnected and i was just mostly confused
great manga to look at the art of and kinda skip the dialogue lol

the brothers thing was weird tho i'm glad they portrayed it as Not Okay
honestly would have been a better story with literally anything other than emotional incest but here we are
at least the art was fucking beautiful, and itsuki is mvp

it wasn't bad but wildly mis-tagged
for anyone looking to read it: the two 'main characters' don't get together and there's no seggs
as long as you're cool with that it's a fun arthouse style drama story
