iltak is a bratty little bitch. He shouldn't have bullied kids weaker than him when he was younger and he shouldn't idolize dilenquents. You could potentially argue that he's compensating but when they show his flashbacks to middle school he was at the least the same size as other kids so I doubt his inferiority complex about being feminine had happened yet. (lowkey thought this was omegaverse for like 12 chapters) To a large degree he's getting a taste of his own medicine now. kids are dumb. it is what it is.

But **now** I understand his outright refusal to entertain anything gay. he's been repeatedly sexually harassed and I think that would make most young dumb kids absolutely against the thing that's been forced on them without their consent. So even though Hyunwoo is super cute and sweet and Iltak frankly doesn't deserve him, that won't immediately override the "I can't do this or I'll prove them right, that I really am gay"
it's too bad this writer probably won't put any depth into Iltak realizing that what he did to those kids in middle school is exactly what they're doing to him and learn from it, we probably won't see any actual growth.
So while it sucks that he hurt Hyunwoo, I understand it. Hyunwoo to a degree, in Iltak's mind, was probably just doing the same thing that the other guys were. Only seeing him as an object of lust/romantic interest, without his consent.

this is one of those stories where I'm like they would have SUCH severe PTSD, both of them. and I get that people bonding over shared traumas is legit a thing, seeking comfort in one another in the depths of despair, but if this was supposed to be that it was executed SO poorly
