Ι loved this manga so much! I also recently finished the anime, the characters are great. This is the definition of wholesomeness BUT I despise the queer baiting soooo much! It is honestly kind of insulting...Like just make them a couple at this point, is it so wrong to have gay people in a story? If they didn't want ro include that, then it should've stayed a cute and funny comedy without the bait. Kinda ruined the story for me.
I dunno I have considered dropping the story because of the unsettling side stories, but I almost never drop series once I've begun them. I also enjoy watching their father-son relationship develop. On the other hand, every time there is a side story this relationship kinda shutters for me, I am very appalled by the ship and it keeps bothering me even in the main story.
you should drop and its not your fault to feel disturbed. you are just not the target audience. CN is full of shizunfucker trope and they always like BL with this undertone. whether you want to acknowledge if its BL or not its up to you but there is romantic undertone going on between potato and papa wolf
I just finished reading this and I am not sure how to feel. The premise of the story is indeed fascinating, watching Mako chasing J and playing games with each other was thrilling. Having said, that I felt as if I never truly understood the characters. Starting with M, at fist he was a fuck up but surprisingly gentle boy. After the first time skip he changed so abruptly and I couldn't keep up. He turned into this evil creature extremely fast, which I guess was the whole point but stil I don't get it. His love-hate for J was written very nicely, yet his change of attitude wasn't. He was suddenly a monster. As for J, I get it, loneliness and stuff, I think I just expected more (?), and I definitely wanted to see more about his metor and the extra eye he had. I honestly don't even think I got his past...I also disliked how they handled Ks character. Don't get me wrong the story had some very powerful moments and it is quite special.
I feel like Makoto just became more of his true self. As an human, he was stifled and forced to conform to societal standards. He was already a twisted individual and J abandoning him at the brothel forced that darkness out.
I agree with wanting more of J and W's past. I think this story would've really benefited from having 4 volumes instead of 3. We should've seen more of J falling apart during that 100 year skip. J is always so calm and collected. Nothing ever phases him. Seeing J shed that perfect persona and slowly descend into ruin would've made this a perfect story for me.
As for K, I liked them and I'm perfectly fine with how their role was played out.
I am surprised that people love this so much, most of the time I am dying of boredom and I still have 50 chapters to go...
Tell me about it. I was one the first readers and the updates took long so I let it marinate.i was at the part where he went to train proffesionaly. So I came back to re read it after a while because I fell in love with the art, him struggling to be a ballet male dancer and the guy he like to be a pro boxer.. but after I CAUGHT up to the chapter where i left off there were no more of those moments.. it was just BOOM I'm a pro, I'm rich, I'm have a supporting rich hubby, parents still live akward and poor idk ...I'm in chapter 101, I'm still trying to give it chance and finish it but I'm sad I n never saw him ACTUALLY train hard and face scary moments like in the beginning
I can't believe people want a 3p, this is ridiculous. I started reading the story because of the couple.I liked how they slowly started to find what they like and the kept growing closer together. Now some random guy shows up, the FL acts horrible and you all want them all together? Kinda disgusting... I have dropped this but I hope it turns out better so I can read it again.
I mean this whole story is to challenge the hetero norms so…
I don’t see wat wrong with throwing 3p or a poly relationship into the mix
But rest assured I don’t think it happens
No dw it's only gonna just two of them
There is a huge difference with having a couple trying new things and adding a random dude into a monogamous relationship.
