I feel bad for Bum and Sangwoo. Sangwoo had a screwed up childhood. That doesn't give him the right to toture and kill people tho. He has took pleasure in killing. Yet he is still pained and troubled. He's screwed up in the head. He still deserves to get punished. Most of the people he killed were just people who had no reason to be killed. Even tho i think he deserves punshiment I still feel bad for him. I don't feel bad about him going to prison but the fact he is still pained with the past. Now for Bum, he is also screwed up. A lot of people are saying therapy. Yes he needs therapy but let's not forget that he stalked Sangwoo and broke into his house. He also had multiple chances to escape... He thinks he loves Sangwoo. Bum also has a bad childhood. Yet in real life they'd both be in prison.
Sangwoo has- Murdered, kept hostages (idk if that's the right term but he kept them), tourmented his victims, ect
Bum has- Stalked a man, Broke into his house, and helped with murder.
They both are pained, troubled, and screwed up.
They both need help.
They both deserve punshiment.

Yes they should be punished but throwing them in a jail cell won't change the fact that they're both screwed up in the head and need help therapy alone can't help them and I think Sangwoo is far too off the edge for therapy he needs more than that, it kinda reminds me of "uncomfortable truth" Sangwoo and Joesob (not sure if that's his name) both had a dark childhood with the death of their parents and they're both being haunted by their mom/self. Joesob needed love and affection and the fact that more than one person can love him and be his friend plus he also needed to know
exactly what love meant and the different types it's in, Sangwoo he needed help away from his family no one showed any interest in the child, teachers can also help their students if they just payed more attention and stop using the excuse of "there r so many kids in the class I couldn't watch out for all of them at the same time" well newsflash u took a job as a teacher to teach others not just an individual or few, don't care if ur tired or ur load is too much u knew what u were signing up for when u took that career path or even if it was on a whim r curiosity. There were no neighbors to help and no other relatives, not just in the manga world these things happen also in rl and people turn a blind eye to these things too much and later when the child grows up into a serial killer all everyone can say is they're to die r rut in hell r hanged r imprisoned everyone is ready to be judge, jury and executioner but no one wants to be a good Samaritan r guardian angel only a few exist but they alone can't help others need to help as well.

It also seems from the flashback that Sangwoo had a normal school life, at least when he was a child/early teens, so maybe we should wait to make this kind of statements
