the author made the ukes character too filled with anger and hatred and rightfully so, for him to just develope feelings in the last two chapters.
Seme is annoying as fuck, has no regards for the people he “loves”, when I started reading his actions genuinely made me want to vomit, but I had already started I couldn’t stop no matter how shitty and disgusting it was.
Also, the uke is so clearly suffering from PTSD and that’s not even addressed when it’s obviously a huge part of why he stopped doing the thing he loved the most.

I was just flabbergasted by Geon’s forgiving axns toward Jiheon at the end. A lot of yaoi stories do not implement the opportunity for their victims to take legal recourses against their rapists (eg. police don’t exist, law doesn’t prosecute same sex rape, etc). In this story, the law was willing to prosecute Jiheon for rape...but Geon denied everything. Just... why? I think the publisher told the author to change things at the last minute.

rapey love is pretty much a common thing as an excuse for porn regardless if it's het or BL hentai. it's not really that deep.
I actually loved this so much, the depth of the ending was waw, literally none of the characters got a happy ending, while they did to an extent “end up together” the kid lost the only reason he wanted to stay alive and as the author said “he’s dead inside”, the old guy might have him but he doesn’t have the version of him that he loves, and the other dude is in fucking jail going crazy with delusions.
The reason I’m so happy is cause both the main characters are horrible ppl they don’t deserve to be happy, and staying alive suffering with the consequences of their actions, is harder and more of a punishment then the author simply killing them off.
The reason he visited him in jail, because while he knows he killed his mother this would have never happened if he didn’t provoke him to attempt murder from the beginning, his mom would still be alive if he wasn’t a user.
I just wish the author highlighted more on the process of the mom sacrificing herself to save him, like if they just added extra scenes of when he left the house maybe of her getting up and following him, while true it would’ve made the ending predictable, but it would’ve made it realistic, and not just her popping out of nowhere without context, but the whole thing also shows that even after all he told her she still couldn’t put herself first but ended up exchanging putting her son first with putting him first, and that started showing when she slapped her son for bad mouthing him instead of being realistic and explaining to him the “actual” situation.
But I guess most of the readers don’t care about the moms development they’re here for the MCs
Also for the ppl saying “they wanted *insert couple* to end up together” that could’ve never happpened bad people don’t deserve happy ending, even if it does occur in reality.
If you weren’t expecting a sad ending I don’t think you were paying attention to the details of the story.

This is my second time reading this manga after YEARs but I just remembered hating it, I didn’t remember why, and now I reread it and I understand. I thought I was the only one who hated yuki and the two semes but it’s nice seeing that the majority of the comments agree with me.
Yuki literally cheated and they Justified it and made it seem like kaede was at fault for feeling hurt over the fact that his bf cheated on him, and the semes just flat out involved themselves in their relationship and ruined it.
Yuki showed no resistant whatsoever to the semes advances, at least kaeda resisted and kept resisting even when he knew yuki cheated on him.
They kept dedicating kaedas feeling in the story “I think the feelings you have for yuki are feelings of friendship” how does a pervert like you who only knows him cause he used to spy on him from his window know what his feelings for yuki actually are?.
Let’s not forget that the seme that is interested in kaede was originally interested in yuki, that was handeled in such a bad manner it seems like he only changed his preference to kaede cause the other seme started getting interested in Yuki.
So I feel like kaede is the only decent character in this entire manga, he deserves a better best friend and a better boyfriend.
