I seriously don't like the male lead. He says he can't do anything to protect Iris just cause she "regected" him. Let me tell you something there are other ways to get close to someone other that proposing to them. All he cares about it his profits and he didn't see enough profit in her last life so left her to die? (︶︿︶)=凸

I read up to chapter 48 as I read people calling this a masterpiece and I also really like this author's other two works but I am having a really hard time with this one. I know Ewon did wrong so he deserved being punished by Jihu but I hated how Mookyul treated him. Not paying even though he is a poor orphan college student. Beating him up for no reason. Almost strangeling Ewon if he doesn't have sex with him. Never admitting he can be wrong. Cheating on Jihu but getting upset when Jihu said he used him. Idk how am I supposed to like this character. I also read that he has an affair with that old boss but I actually don't care about that bit it's everything else that bothering me. I am pretty sure that he has a very sad backstory but that doesn't give him the right to all this things.
PS: I don't want negativity but just genuinely want to read this as everyone keeps calling this a masterpiece and I really like the author's works so I would appreciate anyone who can tell me that I am wrong without spoiling too much.

No, you are not wrong at all, Ewon did cheat on Jihoo and that was wrong, but he's such a good person (he's just has commitment issues, because of what his mother did to him), I don't think Mookyul deserves Ewon at all, but that's not what this is about. I have read this manhwa 10 times already, and Mookyul is not a good person, but he is really damaged because of the way he was raised & his childhood, Mookyul needs Ewon to be happy and Ewon needs Mookyul to be happy too, they have a kinda toxic relationship, but they need & love each other despite that, I don't condone toxic relationships, but these to are too damaged by their childhoods that each one makes the other feel complete.
If you are going to continue reading this you have to have that in mind, 'cause this is not going to be a healthy go-lucky relationship. But if you indeed decide to continue it, I hope you can enjoy the way it is ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~

I m starting to really dislike this story. It doesn't seem to be going anywhere. Their relationship almost has no progress and MC doesn't even think of her husband as her husband. Misunderstanding keeps on growing. I kept reading this hoping something would change but everytime I read this I feel sad and dissapointed ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍

Her not thinking of him as her husband is key. Remember her goal? She wants to only divorce him, instead of her head rolling down. So that part is good for me.
Besides, there will be one thing coming out of this misunderstanding that is great! I expected this would end up like this, but it's still reassuring to know this will finally be out in the sunlight.
SPOILER
He confesses in ch 40! :D And I heard she totally clears the misunderstanding in chap 42 so everything is for the best. There would be no fun in story if he just told her that he loves her - there needs to be some drama and I consider this pne quite cute.

To me this story was refreshing, not sure if I hate it or like it though. It had a sense of realism as all the characters were flawed. It was nothing like all the Yaoi manga out there. I really enjoyed the twisty ending as I didn't like Chika nor Masato. The entire premise of the story to me was what decision a character makes and how it affects their life.
I feel complicated. I hate how the seme is manipulating the uke but i also see that he cares for the uke . But i still don't why he is doing this? I wish the author would give a reason to like the seme rather then it being Stockholm syndrome.
