he’s trying to get back at seyeong for being a netkama. everything he’s done up til now has been a scheme to get him to let his guard down so that he can get some sort of revenge. or so I’ve inferred from the raws but he’s not actually in love with him. (or at least that was the plan, but i think he did catch some feelings in the process.) he’s just giving him a taste of his own medicine per se.
