I actually understand it quite well, I just find no interest in it whatsoever, for me, Im not learning, Im more memorizing and reciting and using common sense.
I also don't mind history since its not too had to guess and I also find very little interest but some thing do interest me, much unlike science.
The 10 years I loved you the most
as a biotechnology student, I do disagree, but I think everything has a boring and interesting side to it. I am interested in literally everything, be it biology, chemistry, psychics, art and art history, geography, history, music, languages (both grammar and literature, and culture too), sociology, psychology and so on. Yet for me, the most boring is math, since it is a tool in other fields, but is not a science which tries to understand and explain the world we live in. I have to understand and use high level mathematics as a future engineer, so yeah, I am not looking forward to that part.
Highschool Math. Because they will never be usefull for me in any way shape or form dammnit!! (I have already graduated btw but tshey still haunt me)
I don’t know why people are hating on math.(I’m not particularly great at math, but I can still find myself enjoying and respecting it.)
So here’s my defend on math for those who think it’s not a field on its own or never going to be useful in their lifestyle.
Math is so beautiful. I would find myself struggle over a concept for weeks on end to finally have a light bulb glow on top of my head telling me the answer is as simple as this refers to this or that. Now, math does try to explain things about the world we to live in and it’s a form we use to express knowledge.
We use math to express the migration of heat from one location to the next via the Fourier Series of sines and cosines. We need to know this so we can build basements and cellars. This also explain how energy “can’t be” created or destroy since energy clearly transfer and transform through a manner of waves.
The idea of perspective and ideal art also comes from math in the form of “sacred/divine geometry”. Think of beautiful architecture (like the Parthenon or Haga Sophia) or just the roof on top of your head. We use “sacred geometry” to make sure that the roof isn’t too high or heavy either the walls can’t support it (invention of flying buttress as a result) and doesn’t fall on you and last for quite some time.
You know that proportion thing you do in high school (tree this cast this long shadow, if you cast this short shadow, how tall are you) that is called conversion in science? You use that to determine depth in close or far away distance in a work of art or just walk. We use that to scale giant buildings since we make models of them!! You’re doing math without acknowledging that it is math!
Both of these examples are applied mathematics derived from theorical mathematics to explain the world we live in.
Buttttttt Math isn’t my favorite subject in school. That award goes to lunch/nap time/recess.

me too, I easily get bored with things. I discovered BLCDs and Yaoi manga three years ago and soon after that I came to know this amazing website. So far BL is the only thing that I've been into the longest. And I don't think I will get bored with this soon, instead I'm getting more and more engrossed with it
