"Son, can I have your father?"

"Cavities can be transferred by a kiss!!"

"Strip Twister!"

"You didn't punish me for doing badly at work or tie me up in an unused meeting room (/TДT)/ ."

Maybe this is just me but I just suddenly realized that I actually don't like it when IN YAOI LIKE THIS (not speaking for real life or from experience so I might be completely wrong, don't hate me), gays who have been betrayed before for girls suddenly don't trust all straights and then they make resolutions like "From now on, I'm only going to date people who are the same kind as me because I don't want to get hurt." Then straight MC comes along and of course, he isn't trusted. When straight confesses, he is yelled at for being straight and not being able to understand how much it hurts to lose to a girl or a child. Isn't that too much of a discrimination? Like some STORIES feature straights prejudiced against gays but isn't this the opposite: gays being prejudiced against straights? I mean, okay, yeah, they've been betrayed before and I understand if they have trust issues but isn't it too much to generalize all straights as traitors who will absolutely, surely, certainly, and definitely fall for a girl one day, get married to her, and have children with her? I mean, it's not like dating only gays will ensure happiness because don't they also have the capacity to betray and hurt those who love them? The only difference being they won't go to a woman but to another man instead. Lots of MANGA try to show that falling in love with the same sex entails the same risks and happiness as falling for the opposite sex because love isn't about genders. Doesn't that also go the other way?

Sorry for rambling. Okay, I'm out. Please don't hate me. This is just my opinion based on the logic/concept used in this WORK OF FICTION that it is unreasonable, unfair, and completely full of holes.

Yeah it really depends on the individual not their sexuality. In my opinion that is.

I agree with most of what you’ve said, I understand where the gay guys (in yaoi) are coming from.

When there’s been someone’s i like but they identify as gay, I still let myself like them but I didn’t not expect anything from it. If anyone of them were to ensnare up having feelings for me I wouldn’t consider them straight anymore (oersonally) but they might still identify as straight and call it an exception?? Idk I’d feel confused by that myself.

In the end I think why (in yaoi) there’s that discrimination, is because it’s more dramatic and it adds more for the story to carry on. If it happened irl I don’t think this would happen very often anyways, I personally wouldn’t put effort into going after someone straight. Why? Because they’re straight! They’re not gay they’re not bi so it’s mean so they just arnt interested in my gender.

I’m actually glad someone bought this up because there’s a lot of discrimination in yaoi but I think the main reason most people ignore it is because by yaoi, typically, doesn’t portray the everyday gay relationship. It’s created to appeal to females so it’s very dramatic and romanticised. If you read a lot of Bara manga, you’ll see that most of this stuff doesn’t happen because Bara is normally portraying a more realistic gay relationship.

My rant way way longer than yours ahaha TT it was a very interesting topic to bring up so thank you

Well, I can kind of understand. Think about it, it happens the other way around too, I know girls that felt worse having an ex with another guy than with another girl. I guess the loss feels worse(?) And in a guy stand point(in some cases, and mostly because of our very very sick society) have the harsh reality thrown at their faces: You can't have kids, you can't get married, of course things are changing, but not that much. So that inferiority comes out. Bi-people have it hard in this regard, because both sides fear it, complicated -_-

You really have to consider Japanese culture, where adding the next generation to your family is ultra-important to the older people (parents of most MCs in yaoi). Extreme pressure to get married and have children, from parents, from society, even at work you might not ever get promoted if you aren't a family man.

Play around with whatever gender you want in private but at some point you have to "be responsible" and stop "being selfish" and start a "traditional" family.

It is much more likely for someone in a gay relationship to abandon ship and "go straight" for appearances.

As I thought, I still prefer Kuroo-san but it's like I prefer him because I want to HAVE Kuroo-san but, I most definitely want to BE Akaashi-san... or something like that? Haha. In my dreams...

SPOILERS

There were so many readers wondering what's up with the baby give-aways for different reasons. Some were asking "Why?" because they don't really know why and still some were asking "Why?" despite knowing the reason. So, for the former, the omegaverse setting in this story was quite unique in a lot of ways: (1) It wasn't natural but was intentional in the part of the human ancestors as solution to the problem of low birth rate leading in turn to a dwindling population; (2) Omegas are revered, not discriminated upon, for their high birth rate; and, (3) Alphas are needed not as leaders but more as breeders-ahem-doctors-was-really-what-I-meant-of-course. For these preexisting circumstances in this world, lots of other things then follow: (a) Alphas have a duty to breed omegas and that's precisely why they can't bond since bonded alphas can only mate with his partner (at least in this story, I think so); (b) Omegas have a duty to birth a lot of children which will then be distributed to childless people because, I think, for reasons like: (i) to be practical, a single couple can't possibly take care of the number of children society expects omegas to provide; and, (ii) to be totally ridiculous while still being perfectly logical somewhat, so the couple can focus more on mating and producing rather than raising children.

So, that's that... even though I only wanted to say one thing!

LIKE for those who also think the babies were absolutely cute! You could fit one in the palm of one hand!!!! Aww~

...I think, is the type that kind of says to turn down everyone else's advances cause it would somehow be bloody otherwise... like, I was half expecting him to secretly be a hardcore yandere or something. Him being only slightly so was also good and fine. Love them both.
