The basic plot: The ML has animal characteristics/shapeshifting abilities. He and MC are childhood friends. But because he is "special" he has to go to a special school (it's more to keep the "monsters" in check) and they are separated. MC later transfers as the only human to that school to be reunited with the ML again. He has the dream to change the society and get more acceptance for the shapeshifters.

One of the couple - at some point they are living together (I don't know if through the whole story) - is a new teacher. And I think it's a religious school. On of his female students targets him as a love interest and he tries to reject her. But then there is a scene where they stumble or something and end up in a compromising position which is seen. Huge fuss about it in the school. Afterwards he comes out to his director to at least save the girl's reputation and is eventually fired. At some point the girl shows up at his home where she sees the boyfriend.
