The reason why ML is rejecting and avoiding FL is because of them being BFF since forever AND because the white lotus ass bitch did talk when not asked about some events that happened to be traumatising for ML (FL’s scar)
And since he's basically a coward, he did run away because as the bitch said "it would be hilarious if [ML] dated [FL] after what [he has] done"
Yes it is cliché, but it isn't better for them to date in a healthy state ? A story without conflicts is a boring one, at least it’s my opinion (yours is still valid of course)
