JAKAKJSSJKSBDHDJW I CANT I CANT

DISCLAIMER!! I’ve only read the first 10 and last 5ish chapters so I don’t actually know most of the story. However, I do have an opinion I’d like to share about it.

When I first started reading this, it sounded quite enjoyable and fresh (exchange murder oWO FUNFUN). There were some up and downs about translation and the art but I find that to be quite a common issue with Chinese manhua so I didn’t really care much.
After the beginning murder section, the storyline seemed to have changed a heck ton from the original plot which bothered me. I anticipated it to be thriller/murder the whole way so seeing that chunk of “slice of life” out of nowhere made me pretty disappointed and I was going to give up. The main character’s reaction to his girlfriend cheating and all of their personalities were really annoying so I was pretty sad that it went from having a lot of potential to going wayyyyy downhill.
I decided to read the last 5ish chapters just in case something changed and I’m glad it did. It was interesting to see that the main character had way more mental issues than expected. His whole mind looks like it’s damaged beyond repairs (though I’m not sure why it happened considering I skipped most of the story). I think that Zach dying was the most appropriate considering how his life was simply too painful to continue living. I could be wrong though, something else could have happened that would change my mind if I had read most of the story.
Overall I feel like the story had a lot of “filler events” that were unnecessary or could have been worded better. The progression of the story could have been much better in my opinion and I feel that it was a bit of a waste considering how some of the basic concepts were actually pretty interesting.

Dunno why I’m writing this lolol

Don’t read this if you don’t wanna see strong opinions against some of the characters sksksksk

Don’t bash me for this pls but I kinda hate most people in this story except for Jimmy, Niel and Jensen so far (there might be more people that I’m fine with, just can’t remember).

1st example: the teacher. She’s such a bxtch lmao. She’s realllllyy self-centered (can’t even focus enough to take care of a single kid SMFH just so she can’t put on some dumb makeup) and thinks she'll actually impress Jensen??? Like boi if u can’t do your job properly who'll like you???

2nd example: Jensen's friend (think his name is Martin?). His friend was legit FAILING A CLASS and he didn’t care, just forced him to party and hangout with people instead of doing work. Idk if it’s just me but if I was failing a class I wouldn’t hangout with anyone and risk failing even more until I (at the very very very least) pass. So yes him forcing Jensen to go eat and drink kinda pissed me off. Ik it coincidentally actually helped Jensen but that was the author making it happen for the sake of the story.

3rd example: the crowd that surrounded Niel and the old guy when they were fighting. Ik what they did is probably realistic (tbh I might not try to interfere and help if i see a fight going on myself) bUT. It kinda pisses me off that they were all just recording it and no one (except for that one girl who left right after Niel said he wasn’t okay) cared. When the fight was over they all just left and no one cared that Niel was treated unfairly and was hurt.

Heck this is a lot of writing rip
I might’ve not worded things properly but I’m too lazy to check ;;;;
Pls don’t murder me for saying all this lmao

As some people have stated before, I feel like the real hyung is a) not any of them b) one who won't try to do anything/ won't talk or interact with the others (even Doyoung).
His personality seems to be more rational and I don’t think he's the type to run off on his own or to try and “seduce” Doyoung without considering Doyoung's feelings.
As for what the flower guy said, he's obviously done this game many times before so he knows that the fakes all think they're real. His goal also seems to make Doyoung choose the wrong person. Therefore, convincing a fake that he's real and pushing him to be hostile towards the others would be beneficial to flower boi.
I don't know if my assumptions are right but this is just what I personally think. (I'd be hecka disappointed if the real hung was actually the one who ran off though.)

FIRST OF ALL.
THIS STORY IS INDESCRIBABLE (in my opinion).
It is so good on so many levels that words can’t even scratch the surface. A lot of people might not agree and that’s fine, we all have our own thoughts and preferences.
Second.
Some people might really dislike a character while loving another. Personally, in these types of stories, I tend to love every character. It’s just hard to dislike anyone for me because they're all written so well. Even though a lot of them betrayed each other, I still end up loving all of them. Even Neena's mother; although she created a sad ending for Kasane and everyone else, I feel like she played a crucial role in the story and the overall feeling it gave.
Third.
I noticed a lot of people wished for Kasane to be happy. I too, love her as a character and do want her to be happy. However, I feel like this story requires a sad ending to really give the readers a lasting impression, one that screams, “remember me, I was great” or something along those lines. Often, with happy endings, I feel like the characters are not really well developed or they don’t leave as strong of an impression on the readers. So although I really love Kasane, I believe that my love for her really increased because of the ending.

I literally just finished reading and felt like I needed to express my thoughts somewhere. You don’t have to agree with me in anyway, though I would prefer that, if you do read this long-ass essay, you would keep your opinion respectful as well.

Yeah I agree, I was also hoping for a sad ending, although I wished it could’ve been a few pages longer. It really was a rollercoaster of emotions and such an amazing story!
