From what I gathered:
Both MC and ML regressed
MC did have two personalities as a way to cope
MC thinks the other world is real and thinks he actually belonged there
Novel is actually a diary or something
ML retained the memories
ML from the "novel" and ML from the "other world" is one and the same

I think they did? Cuz they're both regress but mc forgot all of it and think it was just a part of the book he read but it's his reality before regress I think...

what i'm confused about is, if he thought it's a book he read, he's an omega right??? why didn't he feel it when he was supposed to be one???? i'm genuinely confused because it seems like he doesn't even know his own body

I think cuz he wished for a world where a/b/o never existed, hence the other world being created in his mind, which he thought was real. He doesn't even know which is real anymore hence why he also doesn't know he was omega to begin with.
