Can't help but think that the author is holding on the sex between Seungho and Nakyum because the next time they have sex it is supposed to be some kind of turning point for them. I think it will mark of beginning of the stage where they become a couple, not only to others but for themselves.
The way that the author is setting up Nakyum missing Seungho and the Lord all but confessing how whipped he is, plus all the threat against them coming from the outside bitches: Jihwa, hobo assassin, Min, In Hun, Father ...

Yep, I thought the same as well. I believe it will be the most sensual and passionate sex session they will have. My only worries are related to Min. It's pretty sure he will try something with NK before SH intervention. Let's just hope it won't be more than a forced kiss or something. I will be shocked if NK got raped by that jerk. If so then his sex reunion with SH won't be as good due to the trauma. But I am 99% sure the author won't do that to NK. Seungho and his sword will strike before it's too late and then once they will get together, it will be explosive (in a good way^^).

I want to recommend this to a friend that is new to Yaoi --- and I want to cause the best impression before she gets eased into the infamous clichés but I am so embarrassed because I myself first read and stumbled upon Saezuru in here.
I've been thinking how sad it is that the best Yaoi manga ever is practically unknown to new readers and frankly there is very low incentive to start on it because there is absolutely no way to follow in English.
June is on what? volume 3? From the point of view of someone just starting to something, getting hooked on something you can't really follow ( unless maybe you read Japanese ) is really not a good deal, right?
So many shitty but hyped mangas have a decent English publisher but as long as I remember people complain that Saezuru has a very bad official English agreement that let down the manga --- and fail to bring in new readers or keep ones that are willing to buy it.
I feel the fandom may be shrinking and becoming a thing that very few can read.
How can anyone follow, actually follow Saezuru nowadays? How can anyone new get to know it? Just imagining if it's worth to promise and promote Saezuru and then have her mad at me for recommending something she may get emotionally involved but don't have it. There is nothing more annoying that loving a story and get stranded in the middle because it's not available.
I wish that Saezuru was licensed by a decent English distributor. It certainly deserved better.

It's funny that some people choose to read rape plot, know what they signed up for ... then spend the whole story whining that they are reading rape plot, lol.
This story is a classic subgenre of Yaoi. Get over it. Or don't, what is probably the most probable since you can't neither enjoy nor give it up.
The ship has sailed. Nakyum will fall in love WITH HIS RAPIST!
FUCKING AWESOME!!!!!! THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I EXPECTED WHEN I CHOSE TO READ THIS.
The freedom to be an adult and make decisions on the type of fictional things I want to read. People start reading rape plot and then expect to change their minds. pfffff.
Like.... oh, I don't like shotacon but let me read that one just because it's popular and if the author doesn't change MY mind, let me whine until the last chapter that I am reading something I don't like it.
Seriously people. It's a fucking RAPE PLOT. If you are not comfortable with it, it's no one here fault but yours.

    Agree 100%
This is FICTION. The people who don’t like it can go read something they do like, meanwhile I’m gonna read something I enjoy. Complaining about a genre you don’t enjoy isn’t constructive criticism it’s just annoying

Ikr... ╥﹏╥ ... like ANTS AT A PICNIC!

They read the plot and know what they’re in for (rape included), but proceed to read the story anyway out of curiosity. Then, as if being forced at gunpoint, they continue to read it (even after witnessing rape scenes) b/c the story is obviously enjoyable, but those virtuous goody-two-shoes hate to admit that deep down inside they like it, are even drawn to it, and may be even addicted to it!! ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄

Otherwise, dumb@sses, why do you continue to read it? #-.-)

Well thank you for being reasonable person. Considering the amount of your up votes we can tell that type of people you described aren't too many here. Which really is great, majority can tell the difference between fictional and their own love life.

    Jesibaby October 17, 2020 11:14 pm

FOR REAL. I've had so many arguments with people on this topic, like if you obviously don't like rape but you know it's in the story but choose to read it, THAT IS YOUR OWN FAULT. Oh and when they demand the author to change the story or to stop writing the stories the way the author wants is so rude like go write your own story and see how popular that'll get. I'm so tired of their whining (╬ ̄皿 ̄)凸

Danae October 17, 2020 9:08 pm

Nakyum's secret desires at this point:
- Seungho playing with his nipples;
- Seungho playing with his asshole and talking dirty
- Seungho saying his name over and over again during sex
- Seungho saying that he likes him
- Seungho calling him 'my boy' ? ( I wonder if this is the real translation)

Anyways, this ship is sailing full wind now, peeps.

Danae October 17, 2020 12:59 pm

Jihwa has gained a following but for the love of Yaoi Gods, I can't find a reason to root for this bitch.
Can we all agree that more than real affection for Seungho, his real problem is that he got dumped because of a lowborn?
He probably would feel jealous too if Seungho had suddenly got hooked on another noble but what made the bitch go mad to the point of paying for a killing is that he really got offended by the social status of the rival.
For all the pity one may feel for a scorned bitch, it's one thing to do something when you are fresh out of a break up and can't think straight. Other thing is to have a lot of time to think about and still don't call out the assassination. And for what? He must know by now that even if Nakyum is dead, Seungho will not ever love or be with him again so even the excuse that this is to eliminate a rival. It's just pure vindictive bitch revenge.
He should just cut his losses and run away with the unwashed bearded version of Seungho.

Danae October 17, 2020 4:12 am

Best lines in this chapter = Nakyum dreaming of dirty-talking Seungho, lol .
'no... It will leak out'
'no need to worry. I can fill you up again' (⊙…⊙ )

Danae October 15, 2020 2:10 am

So which predictions for the next chapter do you think?
1- We will get more of bed sick Seungho and Nakyum nursing him.
2- We will get tender love making with a soft lover Seungho and lots of blushing Nakyum.
3- Seungho will stay away from Nakyum even more, not hurt him but be cold and distant, no sex
4- Something to do with the smelly hot hobo assassin .. maybe more shirtless fanservice with Jihwa or he finally tries to kill Nakyum
5- The hobo tries to harm Nakyum, Seungho tries to stop him and end up being left for dead in the snow. Jihwa has a fit of remorse and confesses everything.
6- Nakyum disappears and Seungho thinks he run away
7- The letter is from Inhun saying he is coming back.
8- The letter is from Seungho's father and he is coming to visit.
9- Min goes to town and tells everyone that Seungho is in love with a lowborn and Seungho loses his power

I am predicting something like 2 and 6 but maybe we will get more filler scenes with the hobo. I am in minority but I do not want many scenes go wasted on side characters that are not much more than fanservice. It wouldn't be much of a pet peeve if the chapters were as long as they used to be in the first chapters but now it's barely a couple of scenes and the MCs getting stalled just so pointless fanservice for the sake of fanservice just grates the wrong way in a story that is otherwise kept pretty focused.
I hope we get more development between the MCs before too much pages are wasted on side couples or characters, just my wish.

    Empress Zia October 15, 2020 3:07 am

I think the letter is from his father, although I dout he'll be coming to visit. They said that the father was really sick and the reaction of the person who recived the letter didn't give off any sort of feeling that they would also be getting a visit. Also the scene where the child and the adult where looking down as Seungho was saying how he felt like he was back at that time.... I think that was a flashback of Seungho as a child witnessing some kind of upsetting or trumatic scene (I think it might be the death, condemnation or something of his mother or someone really close to him).

Danae October 11, 2020 3:50 am

"... because the way you look at him is not the way you look at me... I am filled with rage. I don't know why"..
Dude never knew what it is to feel jealousy until now.
Anyway, Nakyum's feeling for Inhun are not what they used to be. That scene where he tells the servant to throw away the drawing as the closure.
I wish Seungho saw the way that Nakyum is watching him while he sleeps.
Nakyum doesn't hate Seungho anymore. He said as much :
"I used to hate him ... but now he's the one I think of when I touch myself'.
This was the scene where NK is saying that he doesn't think of running away again. He first says that he doesn't have anywhere to go. Then he says that staying there is not so bad, he can paint ... and then pauses and says ... and ... and he is blushing and the next scene is he is jerking off and saying the thing above. So, by now, Seungho is also one of the reasons why Nakyum is staying.
Before the peeps start crunching their pearls and screaming 'Stockholm Syndrome' and discard the character's personality, a reminder:
- Nakyum's attraction for Seungho was established at the very beginning of the story, The scenes where they were locked in a gaze during the painting sessions is canon and written. Seungho even threw one of his whores out when he complained about it. The same one who went to tell Jihwa that Seungho and Nakyum were doing this. Seungho also is the sexual awakening on Nakyum -- before the rape. He was having erotic dreams and Seungho lust and power is not that hard to understand the allure for an innocent repressed young man like Nakyum
- Nakyum's core trait is his kindness and pure heart. Regardless of any other feelings, Nakyum can't truly hate anyone, even more if the person starts treating him better. We see this time and time again with Nakyum along the story and not only with Nakyum. He is forgiving and can't hold hate or grudge so Nakyum first sympathizing with Seungho, forgiving him is pretty much in character. Thank Goodness the author keeps the character as it is instead of writing him as something else just because the readers want to project what they would do.
- Nakyum, despite his years of infatuation with Inhun is just as inexperienced in love as Seungho. On top of it, because of what Inhun said about he being a prostitute, and then Seungho being an idiot who tries to push NK's away when he reaches out, Nakyum may very well confuse feelings of care and love for someone with lust. Since Nakyum is so naïve and innocent, he usually is much more open and honest with Seungho that the other way around. These are the words Nakyum says to a blushing Seungho, before holding his face, licking his mouth for a kiss and then tenderly kissing his Lord :

"You asked me why I became so obedient...whenever our EYES meet my lord, my HEART starts racing and my body feels hot. And DESPITE myself, I think about you coming inside me, deep inside. When you press against that place inside me my Lord, when you lick my body, and bite me, kiss me, I also feel good. "

In any other Yaoi story, this would be a full blown confession so no wonder Seungho is at lost with words and panics ( and then starts his inner dialogue about how he decided to only live for his body)

Nakyum is talking about eyes meeting and heart pounding and the feeling of sex with someone you want ... the point is that Nakyum thinks this is lust and because he is born to be a prostitute when in fact he is feeling already what it is to be falling in love.

Finally a bunch of people who understand the complexity of the story

Danae October 9, 2020 6:29 pm

This was a great chapter for the shippers and even the small details are worthy mentioning.
For instance, the scene starts with a sleeping Nakyum that had Seungho's robe covering him. It's cold but it's Nakyum who is covered not only with a blanket but also his Lord's clothes. Seungho had started drinking the night before so this detail implies that even in his drunken state, Seungho had some kind of awareness that the room was cold and instead of covering himself, he put his cover on Nakyum.
The chapter is also full of mystery about Seungho and the author seems to be hiding crumbs that will be connected later.
1- What is the illness that the doctor and the servant are talking about? They seem to be implying that Seungho suffers from something that is ongoing and needs treatment.
2- What does Seungho means with 'happened again'? Was he in love before and maybe it didn't end well?
3- The flashback scene ... a lot of people seems to think the child is Seungho but what if his father and brother looking at him? Maybe the scene where his father humiliated him and cut his top knot ? When you want to teach your younger son not to follow an older brother's way, this seems like the kind of thing you make his brother witness... a punishment of some kind.

To all the people who choose to read a rape plot and will now get even nastier shaming shippers here : fuck you. This is an adult fiction and if you choose to read something you don't like, it's no one problem but yours.

thanks for sharing these details. just to add to ur point at the end, I feel like people seem to just ignore the setting of this manhwa? like this is all supposed to be occurring during the Korean dynasties (some have speculated during the Goryeo or Joseon era). Seungho's behavior, since he is a lord, would have been acceptable at the time. It's naive to expect a historical drama/romance to have a modern day understanding of consent. It would just be historically inaccurate. I understand that some people will still critique it despite that fact, but just don't read it if you have a problem with it.

Danae September 28, 2020 1:41 am

I can't change people's mind but I wished some readers realized that whatever happens in the chapters, it's not only about Seungho's development and arc. It's Nakyum's too.

I noticed a lot of people are mad because of Seungho did this or that... understandable but first of all, Seungho is a character that was never meant to be an easy one to root for and that is the strength of this story ... second, the scenes are not there ONLY for sake of showing Seungho's fighting against feelings he doesn't want. The scenes are also to show Nakyum's side of it.
Parallel to Seungho, there is what is going on Nakyum's head and even the orgy and his passiveness and confusion, all this BELONGS to Nakyum's development arc, not Seungho.

Nakyum is stuck on a mindset of profound lack of self worth, he truly convinced himself that he is a prostitute, he can't be loved. So much so that even when the Lord of the house says things like 'who do you think you are to put hands on him' when beating someone almost to death, it doesn't register. Even so he instinctively knows he can reach Seungho with an embrace when he is over the edge and this would be a very intimate thing that only lovers could share, he still doesn't realize his power over Seungho... even when Seungho pulls him to a protective hug after Min plants him a kiss, he doesn't recognize the jealousy (although it seemed like he knew something was up by his surprised look). Even when it was spelled out by Min and obvious, he can't dream that he could be precious to someone, even more a noble, even more THAT noble famous for not care for anyone.

So I wish readers stopped talking as if Nakyum arc didn't exist, as if he was purely a background and his scenes were not meant for his character's arc but for Seungho's. The story wouldn't work if this were the case. These two characters scenes need to advance both development and it does even if we don't like the route.
