This is an example as one of the readers with double standard. The cliche yaoi mangas are the one where the seme is in love with the uke first and chasing after him, or where the seme can’t get it up unless if it was with him. (if you’re not seeing this pattern then you’re new to yaoi) Take an example, the manga “lover boy”. The seme is in love with him and chasing after the uke and when finally they were dating, the uke suddenly was reminded of the past relationships. Or this manga called “see you again”, WHERE the seme is in love with the uke and they agreed to be on a fwb relationship And as usual, the “traumatizing ex” is coming. Honestly almost all yaoi plots are where theres a love triangle between seme - uke - seme but I haven’t seen one (or counted more than my fingers) that have plots with love triangles between uke - seme - uke.
