I have read the previous series (Ghost Hunt) manga's tankoubons years ago, and feel really glad I found this sequel.
I remember the end of previous series left big hole in my heart since I wish Mai ever get chance to talk/see Gene as Gene (and not as Naru), but it didn't happen. But then this sequel filled that empty hole :')
Also finally Gene managed to meet Naru, it feels like closure, I can't ask more. That ending is perfect with Hirota and Mai's convo, to show how Hirota has changed and how Mai seems content with her life. Def 10/10 manga.
And btw the extras are so cute! ♡♡
Completely agree. (I even read the series years ago as well)
But in an interview, the author said that she dislikes happy endings, thus most of her works have sad endings.. So, I truly wonder as of why they made this continuation with this ending. Don't get me wrong, I liked the closure, but from what she said in that interview, it doesn't seem like something she would write.
Wonder if she had a change of heart?

I love how they show Hirota and Mai in the end, to show how Hirota changed, and how Mai seems content with his life. The ending is perfect, 10/10 rate manga (but still if sensei wants to continue it, I will be so glad).

The uke is so annoying
You have to see things from his point of view to properly judge him. In this story the discrimination against omegas wasn't elaborated and the mangaka didn't want to add angst but if you read a lot of yaoi with the omegaverse genre you would get that omegas are treated like dirt most of the time. If an alpha wants to he an use them and casually dispose of them...with that kind of mindset being the norm, it is no wonder that an omega felt insecure and didn't want to be someone's property just because he was born an omega. But the alpha's good intentions eventually reach him
I think I didn't deliver my comment properly. At first I found the uke has strong mind and ofc I realize his insecure and dismiss towards alphas is because of what you said. What I mean with annoying is about maturity and the lack of communication because of the uke's character, it refers to chapter 3 page 12-15. When the alpha started the topic about quit uke's job, the uke snap out immediately, where's the maturity, yes he's an omega who treated like a dirt but he shouldn't be a dirt imo. And in chapter 4 when alpha wants to talk (again, he shows how maturity work) and the omega once again show his childish act. I read almost all the omegaverse mangas in mangago but he's a weak omega character in my eyes. If omega alpha thing can justified his childish character, then I can't comment more. Too bad his earlier strong omega image in chapter 1 got tarnished immediately.
Hi! This is a hundred years too late... but do cut him some slack. While the uke has his strengths, he does say in one panel that he also pretends to be strong. Having moments of weakness doesn't make you weak. It just makes you human.
As mentioned in the earlier answer, Nanao has most likely been through a lot. If you've also read other omegaverses, you will know that there is a hierarchy even among omegas, and sex workers are pretty much dirt as well. This is probably why Nanao highly values his independence and freedom. It's all he has, so he's quite defensive. I don't see that as weak or childish, but again, just human nature to be fiercely protective of what small spaces you have in life. He has never met an alpha who respects him, let alone considerate or caring enough, so he doesn't know how to simply talk it out.
Thankfully, Keiji "is" considerate and helps Nanao allay his fears, so that they can actually talk things through and Nanao can freely embrace their bond.
