I hate the rape part of this manga so much, it’s a more accurate protracted of how most rapes happen. It’s a power struggle and the cop ML comes our advantages thank to this rape. It disgusting watching the author try to move past the rapist ML and give him character development. I reread it a bit and realized that mohwa was scared of his former rapist for a bit. Not to mention he also raped him more than once in his own apartment. That type of rape is seen a lot more in mangas, rape disgusted as uncontrollable love. That doesn’t make sense to me, even more so than the first rape in the store. At least that one is realistic, rape I s way to normalized in mangas and some how people seem to flock to this manga for bashing on the ML, when so many other Ml and so much WORSE. I’m not defending a rapist, come at the Ml all you want, but make sure you keep the same attitude.

Usually, I would quit a manga like this. I hate when boy’s love mangas do this, slipping in r@pe is not okay. But the r@pe is different here. It’s actually a plot device for some reason. I like how at least the author doesn’t try to romanticize it and both the r@pist and victim both see it as a means of control and not an expression of love. R@pe is used as a way a seme expresses love in most manga and that’s a thousand more times disgusting. While I appreciate seeing r@pe for what it is, the manga still fails to properly show how traumatic r@pe is. The ikr in the scene wehere they have genuine love making scene. The uke isn’t the least bit scared. Which matches his personality and his almost impossible sturdyness and ability to stay strong even after horrible events. The seme feels horrible for what he did and is scared to the point of his whole personality of being a b!tch changed. But if the author wants to have a plot device that shows how sh!tty the seme used to be. Don’t use r@pe as that device. It’s disgusting. And unrealistic, most rapists don’t feel sorry.
