So. let me get this straight.........
So far, what we know about the crown prince's "mysterious" motivations is:
--
1) that the crown prince has a curse that can only be cured by "confining" the FL (.........yeah, they said so in chapter "zero", but don't ask me, I still don't get why, either...);
2) that this curse that the prince has is somehow related to the same red dragon that her ancestor defeated (key word, that her ancestor "purified" with "divine power"), and,
3) that the reason it has to be her (that he confines) is connected to how she can use the power of (probably all) constellation treasures....?
---
And I think that's all. Did I miss anything?

I almost... ALMOST misunderstood the mc as a pushover Mary Sue who can't do anything other than acting pitiful to the emperor and receiving his protection... thank heavens I persevered because by chapter 9 I understood that's only a first impression, and she's actually a layered, realistically humanized vulnerable character prone to speaking with emotional frankness, and who that establishes humanized, emotionally frank interactions with other people (and more importantly, with the ML)
Edit:
Still, I think I will still drop this for now... since it seems the ML has a(n unwanted) royal harem and the first arc will focus on the mc's catfights with the members. I simply can't stand royal harem's petty squabble stories, normally... (the only exception "I will fall with the emperor", for obvious reasons...)

The fake "thread of fate" connecting mc and ml (as in, the thread made by the evil spirit) definitely seems like it needs to go: both the gangster's shaman and the ML's young uncle (a young shaman) agreed on it. That's two unrelated shamans agreeing with each other, despite the fact that they've never spoken to each other:
The gangster's shaman said in chapter 59 that cutting that fake thread off would help "save 2 people's lives", which would be enough to "heal the 2nd ML's thread", that had ended up weakened and snapped "due to bad karma". Ergo, that "saving 2 people's lives" was meant to be taken here as "making good karma" = doing a "good deed", and not just as saving their *love* lives, but their *literal* lives. And THAT coincides with what the OTHER shaman, the ml's uncle, said, about the fake thread attracting the evil spirit that made it, and that still wants to cash in on that debt that the ML unknowingly incurred (as a child) by asking that evil spirit to make that thread: the price to pay was to let the spirit take both his and the mc's lives, after the spirit's part of the deal (to let the ml have a relationship with the mc) was already considered "fulfilled" (which is why I also think the ml dumped the mcfor this reason: in order to save him and himself from being killed by the evil spirit, when it came to collect the debt).

Girl, you say you got the ind of a 20 year old and you know he's just a tresspasser, so why are you so afraid and agreeing to go with him, so darn easily????? Why you acting like that scrawny butler of your previous in-laws was some undefeatable threat, like a secretly trained assassin (he certainly doesn't look like it????)

IIRC we didn't get any flashback with the butler... and she faced the black haired duke who at face value seems quite a lot scarier than that pathetic butler? Even that arsonist dude they met seems scarier than that butler? When she's already overcome the experience of accompanying the duke to the country's worst prison to see a death row inmate... letting her plan go down the drain just because of some scrawny lone butler who *trespassed* on the scary duke's territory, completely on his own, is anticlimatic, when one as a reader still hasn't been told about there being anything specially scary about that butler.

he was the right hand man-therefore most likely he was involved directly with the harassment from the staff, abuse from the family, and poisoning. People who have been abused tend to have tendencies toward accepting abuse as normal. She did not want the ML abused and took control of the situation the best she could. For example, when the ML father runs her into the ground with training she doesn't complain even when she collapses. That is not what a regular well adjusted person from a loving family usually does.

I see now, what happened to this family: the smartest bro became an antisocial recluse who didn't want to engage in business after he lost his child (and wife?), the 2nd smartest bro chose the woman he loved over a profitable career as a noble merchant, and all the family had left for heir was then the least bright, but most greedy of all, moron of a son: Harvenic
It's a bit scary how darn *accurately* this webtoon depicts teen/early adult girl's thoughts and behaviors... On another note: Loony girl focusing on Sera so intensely and from so early on makes me suspect she had made some kind of sketchy deal with that shady old man of the creepy eyes to do witchcraft on Sera and curse her.
Spoiler about their relationship

The crazy bitch was born cursed, she would never be loved, never happy. Her parents found the shaman and he said that the only way to "cure" Crazie from the curse, was passing it to another child.
Crazie them decides she wish to pass on to Sera. Because of that, Sera's started acting like a crazy mad woman, she was conscious about her acts and that she was hurting people, but she was unable to stop.
oh my gosh, my poor sera
That's so fucked. Dyk why she chose sera in the first place??
Omg
If I remember correctly, she kinda obsessed with Sera. Sera was a genuine chill girl and people liked her. But after the switch, Sera became the crazy nobody like, and Leesomethingsomething started to became popular.
