Perhaps it isn’t nepotism per se (because they aren’t related and haesol appears to be better qualified than the other candidates) but I believe it toes the line ethically. More likely than not, there’ll be conflicts of interest and since they work so closely together, keeping it professional can be harder: case in point, the latest chapter (and I believe the mandatory exam for all the students replacing the previous grade was a misguided and unfair choice from professor boomer, it mostly was for hansol’s sole benefit)
Still it makes for interesting dramatics so *suspension of disbelief activated*

I agree, I think the professor did it was because the kid went and told everybody lies about the mc cheating and getting the answers from the prof. And so he decided that it would be a retest so they can see that he actually did it on his own.. dude was jealous and had no business doing that knowing dang well that the mc did his best he just didn’t want him to get a roll in the company (︶︿︶)=凸
