A Way To Protect The Lovable You
Man. This story is a lot. Where do I begin… I did enjoy the ‘plot’ aspect of the story. Honestly, if it weren’t for how interesting it was, I would’ve dropped this a long time ago. Sadly, the really cheesy romance ruined most of the story for me. It got better after chapter 70 something (literally when MC and ML weren’t together LMAOO) but being criminally single myself, I can’t bear to see or read about a perfect couple. The plot that was pretty freaking good up to chapter 60-70 (basically when MC got her fourth wing) began to fall apart and became a bit too bullshity after that. Like, there were literally no stakes. The bad guys began to drop like flies and the good guys, even if they LITERALLY died, were revived and either became wings or… became wings. Yeah, literally the two characters who died both became wings. Like wtf? Honestly, I would’ve rated this lower but the end where Julius reunited with his mother was actually really wholesome. This wasn’t a bad story, it just wasn’t good either. I prefer stories with actual stakes and ngl, better written romance than whatever tf mc and ml had going. But hey, if you like stories with rainbows and flowers, then go ahead and read this. I’m glad I managed to complete it at least. 2.5/5
Goodbye, In-law
It was fantastic at first, I’m talking the first 15 chapters. But after that, when the drama with the ML’s ‘girlfriend’ began to dissolve and I realized that the conflict was kind of meaningless and that MC used to have a crush on the ML and that’s why she used to basically bully him, the plot kinda began to turn stale. And when they realized their feelings for each other and kissed, I was like “yay but what about the rest of the plot”. Ngl, it wasn’t that appealing but let’s see how it goes. I’d been waiting to continue it because it was growing boring, only to find out FL loses her memory. I decided to save me that pain and simply drop it at chapter 29. It was good while it lasted though, and ML was so cute. 3/5
Secret Lady
I just couldn’t get into the weird story telling. It felt like two or three panels were missing each time I was reading it. I just wasn’t a fan and dropped it in chapter 3. 2/5
Boy To Boy
I really like this one! I don’t think I’d be able to describe it to anyone without straight up spoiling everything but it’s really good. Not something I’d normally read but I don’t regret it. I love angsty romance 4/5
Edit: I finished it and I want to cry and throw up. Those last thirty chapters turned the entire story upside down. Spoilers ahead but in the 2020 world, Hyeon ends up dying by falling down stairs and Seungtae tries to kill himself in his home town. He’s saved and eventually found by his son and he apologies for all of his mistakes. Then, it cuts to him already being dead and he spent his last months surrounded by family and “happy”. In the 1969 world, Seungtae realizes that the one he truly loves is Hyeon after the latter loses his memory from a prior incident. Hyeon forgets him briefly before remembering him and that’s basically how he realizes how he (Seungtae) can’t live without Hyeon. Jihoo kisses Seungtae when the latter tries to tell him, only to realize that they aren’t meant to be. To cut the story short; his cousin tries to burn Seungtae’s house down, succeeds, but Seungtae and Jiho saves everyone. Mc runs back to get his journal but gets stuck. Hyeon saves him and burns his hands. Jiho realizes he has to kill his cousin and basically tricks him by making him drunk before he tries to lit them both on fire. The cousin escapes his bind and tries beating him to death only to be stopped by Seungtae and Inhwe. It all ends with them surviving despite the injuries. Jinho travels with Inhwe away from the city to continue traveling whilst Seungtae and Hyeon decide to move away and live a happy life together. Did you catch all of that? See that two stars? How happy do you think that made me?
First of all; let me begin this by saying fuck you. Fuck who? Fuck whoever decided this to be the ending. I wasted how many tears, worried what would happened: only for literally all three to be dead in the 2020 parallel world and in the 1969 one, the wrong people ended up together and it wasn’t a fucking happy ending. At least not for me. I wanted Jiho to be happy, not Hyeon. Fuck you Hyeon. You might actually turn me homophobic, that’s how much I hate you. I liked you before this but you and your whiney feelings ruined everything, all of this. And for that, fuck you from infinity to beyond. You should’ve just have fucking gotten bit by the dogs and died you stupid fucking bitch.
Fuck this story, 2/5 (its two because Jiho is amazing, the rest can fuck off and die in a ditch for all I care)
Did the World End Yet?
It has potential, I just don’t have the energy to dig and find out about it. Maybe one day, I’ll return and give this a proper rating. Or maybe not. 2/5
