First thing was crying my eyes out bc my best and only friend at that time chose their brand new partner over me. Partner didn't like me so... Welp. My mother was a fighter, headstrong and independent. She was my rock, my only family and yet the one who set my whole world ablaze. Years of silence and confusion passed.
